I spend a lot of money at Slice and I’m very disappointed tonight. I ordered two pizzas (Grandma and small pep) online and a 20% tip ($65). Supposed to pick them up at 6:31, and arrived at 6:20. The small pizza was done at 6:25. The large grandma pizza is done at 6:40. The small pizza was cold and the grandma pizza was burnt. I didn’t ask a dark bake. I asked the girl at the counter about it and she said she could not do anything. I guess the Slice is too busy opening new stores to care about your old customers! I am done with Slice!

The workers are very nice and the as someone who’s not from here I’m so glad my Aunt Carol and her daughter Becky recommended it cause it was pretty good I will say just a fyi they are a very popular/busy place so plan on a bit of a wait for seating but they try to get you in and out quit everything was extremely fresh and if you love Spicy pepperonis the pepperoni pizza has spicy pepperonis!! And the restroom is extremely clean but their sink faucet was confused cause the sensor didn’t wanna detect my hand to turn off but other than that it was gooddd

Top 3 NY style pizza places in the Greenville area, maybe #1. The parm sandwiches are phenomenal also. Service is also great. Definitely worth the drive from Greenville!

We frequent the Slice. This review is for the Super Bowl deal. I ordered the $100 special. 4 pizzas 50 wings. Couldn’t bear the deal! Pre ordered online EASY. Pickup was EASY. Loved the deal. Food was delicious as always. Highly recommend the garlic teriyaki wings.

You guys don’t know what you’re missing. This is hands-down the best pizza, salad, and atmosphere – combined into one and served with great views. Highly recommend stopping in, sitting rooftop (it is covered!), and grabbing a slice of something delicious. Watch the line grow at the Ice Cream Station across the parking lot. Enjoy a night out!

Great pizza!! We did have to wait because they are busy and we had 8 people but it was so worth the wait. The whole staff was very friendly. We sat upstairs and it was beautiful weather to go along with our amazing food. You definitely need to get the meatballs!!

Best pizza in the upstate! Cooked to perfection, crust has a nice crisp but still soft and fluffy on the inside, and great flavoring! Pictures are a Grandma and a Bianca. The owner Mikey makes you feel like family. Toby, who runs the kitchen, has his team making top notch pies!

We’re frequent customers and have always enjoyed our pizza, but the last time it was dry, and tasteless. Hardly any sauce and toppings skimpy. We were very disappointed. The bar crowd seems to be a group that’s always there also. I didn’t appreciate the one woman walking back and forth flipping her hair into my pizza. Cramped, and no regard for people eating. It wasn’t the first time. It would be nice if they sat in their seats and acted polite. That’s not the case.

Super excited to go here for my son’s 7th birthday. We called ahead to make sure we could get a table inside, main level. Hostess said there was plenty of space on the inside dinning area, being a Wednesday. We arrived and they only had the table right by the waiter station. We have sat there before, only to being bumped into by the waiters, have the draft of the door, people bumping into the table as they entered and left the restaurant. Had another waitress/hostess say why we didn’t sit at the table. Saying wait for a booth side table, when they could easily put two double tables together. My son loves this place, they told us to try upstairs after we had called specifically to sit in the regular part of this restaurant. My son has breathing issues and cannot be in the cold for too long. Our previous visit at the “waiters table” they forgot 2 of our dishes and what they gave us was over salted. With exceptions to the garlic knots and pizza, those were fine. We were trying to give this place another try and it was a fail. We waited 45 minutes for a table, inside the restaurant and inside our car. They canceled our reservation while we were waiting in the car. What we planned as a great birthday dinner for our 7 year old was a complete heartbreaking night for our son.

The door swings and out of it rushes the smell of proofed dough baking into crisp crust . Those in the know are instantly transported – you seem to hear the clackety roar of a distant subway , the sibilant hissing of a bus suspension ,the low murmur of jostling bodies packed onto busy sidewalks , a medley constantly bleeting horns ; the panoply of urban sounds that is the heartbeat of a busy city .

But this is not the West Village , you’re not on Bleecker Street , this is Simpsonville and you’re at The Slice. You can be forgiven for thinking for just a moment you are in New York City , because that smell , oh that smell!

Parking was a bit tough , there is a big lot , but this place is popular . We got there at 11:40 ( 10 minutes after opening) and were lucky to get squeezed into the last two top available.

The vibe is groovy , from the time you approach the place , til you step inside , greeted by the display case of window pizzas . The people are warm and friendly , but this place is bustling . There is a rooftop dining area that looks like it’d be fun on a day when it’s not 95 degrees .

We started off with meatballs and ricotta . They were excellent. A lot of places over season the meatballs to compensate for poor ingredients, not so here . The meatballs had the perfect taste and texture .

My wife had the 5 wings and House salad lunch special . The salad was fresh , with great ingredients and the dressing seemed to be homemade . She raved about the wings . She ordered mild , and said they were appropriately hot , not wimpy , but not atomic , “ perfect “ was her word .

I ordered a large pepperoni pizza – don’t judge me , I like to have leftovers .
The 18” pizza was served piping hot , and surprisingly quickly . I ordered it “crispy” but not “well done” and that’s exactly how it came out .

New York style pizza is all about balance- every flavor of the pizza working together in harmony , with no aspect overpowering the other . Honestly , I often forget how good New York style pizza is because there are so many places that advertise New York style pizza that are serving a poor imitation.

That’s not the case here. This pizza is legit . The tanginess of the slightly acidic , chunky sauce perfectly complements the zing of the cup and char pepperoni and the slightly salty smoothness of the low-moisture, high quality mozzarella. I didn’t ask what cheese they use but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Grande . The fermented crust is perfect , crisp but chewy with an undercarriage to die for and no flop or grease .

The Slice definitely goes directly to the top of our list , everything about this place is top notch , and nothing needed improvement . A seamless experience.

Come early , it fills up fast .
