Our server was so friendly and attentive, he made our experience at the restaurant very memorable. Lastly, the artwork was something I couldn’t take my eyes off.
For example, the bun came out cold- maybe it’s supposed to be served that way, but I was expecting it warm, so it didn’t really suit my taste. The chicken also took a long time to come out.
There are many better restaurants in Yorkville, so I’m satisfied with having visited this one just once.
The service is excellent and you are taken care of from the moment you enter including taking your coats and a hostess accompanying you to your table
The server to take your Oder is helpful in assisting you with your choices of the meal.
The food is well prepared and delicious
The various flavors in each dish leave you guessing for what is going to happen to the palate next
Compliments to the chef and the entire kitchen team
Each dish comes out well prepared and well presented
The kimono salad had so many different flavors which made one savour every bite
Jidori chicken was delicious but remember the ginger sauce is very spicy so you might want to get tempura sauce to tamper it down
Pressed salmon was very tasty
And so was the miso black cod. Each dish comes full of flavors
Would definitely return for more
Definitely recommend you visit and try the food it is with every bit
But please remember to make reservations and be on time, because though there is enough space it does get packed
Visit and enjoy
Cheers
The ambiance is beautiful, stylish and vibrant with music that perfectly matches the atmosphere. The food was fresh and flavorful. Garlic shrimp noodles is outstanding.
A special shoutout to Bianca, who took excellent care of us. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her energy and positive vibes made the whole experience even better.
Overall, a fantastic dining spot in Yorkville. Highly recommended!
The restaurant was quite busy even on a weekday evening. We had a table for six, but the side-by-side seating wasn’t ideal for conversation.
The food was overall good, and we enjoyed sharing a variety of dishes — especially the karaage chicken and wagyu fried rice, which were delicious.
One issue was with the wine: the second bottle we ordered looked different, and there was no explanation at first. Later, we learned that our original wine was sold out, and they had brought a different vintage. We ended up ordering another bottle instead.
even though everything was outstanding, my favourite was the chicken karaage and waffles. the chicken was SO hot and juicy and the seasoning was fantastic, and it paired PERFECTLY with the sweet, eggy, crispy, soft waffle. dip it all into that sweet sticky honey sauce and you have the ultimate brunch dish. i seriously had like four of these.
another dish that was really good and i wasn’t expecting to be so blown away by was the broccoli tempura. both tempura dishes were fried to perfection with the perfect crunch, and i loved how the broccoli was kind of like chewy and thick and had a really interesting texture. it was so warm inside and dipping it in the soy sauce enhanced it too.
other dishes, in general ranking of enjoyment:
chocolate chip pancakes: very thick and fluffy, sweetness from cream and fresh fruits, salty caramel, and sour-ish yuzu
oyster mushroom bao: great quality bun, perfect stickiness and pillowyness, crunchy fresh cucumber with a nice sauce
picahna: amazing quality steak with good fattiness and not too chewy, lots of salt??? drenched in sweet tomato sauce-like dressing
shrimp tempura: again, fried really crispy and crunchy, juicy hot shrimp, lemon flavour in sauce
tamago sando: soft and thick bread with nice egg salad filling, light mayo
wagyu fried rice: reminded me of my grandmas famous fried rice!! oiliness gave a pleasant fragrant aroma, and it was cooked in a way that ensured the rice grains were 很粒 (separate? not mushy?)
mochi ice cream & marscapone : desserts were amazing, but i think i was too full to fully enjoy them — nevertheless, the mochi was perfectly stretchy yet easy to chew, the ice cream flavours included matcha, strawberry, and a yellow one that i didn’t try but i’m assuming was lemon…? the marscapone cream tart had a wonderfully sugary wafer with light creamy filling inside
pork katsu sando: really fantastic, soft bread with nice toast, crispy breading on the meat, lean but not too dry, the slaw had a tangy sourness or fruitiness that i can’t describe
maki: all very delicious selections that were nice and saucy, i loved the aburi one especially
udon: super creamy, with faint hints of truffle taste (but maybe it’s just the mushroom)
chili chicken salad: loved the chili flavour with bits of crispy inside
The food was excellent, especially the spicy tuna crispy rice, which was absolutely on point. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience.
One thing to note is that if you dine later in the day, some items may run out, especially the salmon sashimi. Overall, a fantastic restaurant and definitely worth visiting.
