My wife and I were looking for a bite to eat after seeing The Broken Arrows concert at the Kennedy Center, and we stumbled upon Bob & Edith’s Diner in Springfield, VA. It was honestly the best diner experience I have ever had. The moment we sat down, our waitress was on point, coming over to our table right away.
The menu had a fantastic selection of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, and everything we ordered came out hot and perfect. My wife had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, and the flavors were incredible—the gravy was so good! I was adventurous and tried the cheeseburger omelet for the first time, and I can tell you it won’t be my last. It was absolutely delicious.
We can’t wait to go back. This place is, without a doubt, a five-star gem.

Cozy Spot for a Hearty Breakfast!
Yesterday, we went to Bob and Edith’s for breakfast, and it was such a lovely experience! The food was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. We ordered two eggs with turkey sausage, and another plate with scrambled eggs and ham steak both were cooked perfectly. The French toast was soft and buttery, just the right amount of sweetness. And of course, the coffee was hot and comforting.
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a cozy diner vibe and satisfying breakfast!

Staff was so friendly and courteous. Great variety of menu items. Food came out quickly. We ate here 3 times while in VA on vacation for a week. They have scrapple !! My favorite! Love that the potatoes aren’t deep fried.

I recently stopped by for a meal and had a generally positive experience. The food was a highlight, with a veggie omelette and grits paired with a toasted English muffin – a nice touch.
Service was excellent, with speedy seating and an attentive server who checked in more than frequently. Most staff members were smiling, welcoming and helpful, although a few seemed less enthusiastic, offering brief, cold stares.
I dined alone and was in and out within (30) minutes. The bar stool seating area where I sat seemed like an appropriate spot for solo diners like myself, and I appreciated the quick turnaround time.
I had a direct view of the grill. With so many staff on hand, I can see that this was a well oiled machine type of operation.
