The Pine Brook Restaurant and Bar has been a part of the landscape on HWY 95 and 47 since the turn of the century. Built in the early 1900s, it was a 1 room school house where a lot of the local baby boomers attended class. In 1965 the little red school house said its farewells to the last students. It sat empty for awhile then it was reopened as a bar and grill that had set ups only. The Pine Brook has been through several renovations and has had many additions throughout the years. It is now owned and operated by Todd and Theresa Gonia and has been since 2006.

Great staff. Easy parking. Atmosphere was surprisingly cozy and family friendly (there’s a bar area and a dining area). Our waiter was very knowledgeable!! We ordered the Round Up Burger, the sides and toppings were great! The actual burger was clearly a frozen patty.

We really enjoyed the wonderful home cooked entrees here!! Sat next to a great couple & chatted it up. However, the bartender hacking behind the bar, touching & coughing on EVERYTHING was not good…she looked like she didnt feel well & probably should’ve stayed in bed…. manager may want to take note of your employees!

My husband ordered the Ribeye, and he is typically picky when it comes to steaks. If it doesn’t cut with a butter knife, it’s no good. Well, theirs damn near cuts through with a butter knife. The au gratin potatoes he ordered with the dish was tasty.
I ordered the black & bleu burger, and honestly you cannot go wrong with burger with bacon, bleu cheese, lettuce, and onions

Service felt a little slow. Beer price seems high for a Midwestern bar. Food was “meh”.

Parking is readily available and free, and immediate seating was available when we arrived. Our waitress was prompt with our order, and delivery, but needed to be asked for beverage refills. Both pasta dinners were plated nicely, but were VERY salty, and not very hot, especially the meat. Meal prices were about $20.00 per person. Dinner time seems popular, so when it gets busy, expect it to be loud if you’re sound sensitive. The customers eating seemed to enjoy their food, and have a good time. Booth seating is a bit uncomfortable because the seats are sagging and breaking down.

Went here to meet family for dinner. I got the steak and ribs. I ordered medium on the steak and it came out rare. The ribs were just ok. The fries were great.

Every time I come here I leave happy and full (and usually always with leftovers for later!) Great tasting food, super kind employees and great prices for the amount of food you get! I also highly recommend their desserts!

Chicken ranch wrap was amazing with sweet potato fries! Benny’s grilled steak wrap and the Thorogood are also excellent. Tots great also. Highly recommend!!
