I was recommended Mission BBQ ehile working in Evansville several years ago. I like BBQ so I tried it out. I believe on that visit the black plate special was a blackened ribeye, and since I was doing Keto, that was the obvious choice for lunch. I’ve been hoping to encounter that ribeye again, not sure if it’s seasonal. Mission BBQ has become my default stop in Evansville almost to a fault of not trying out other places in the area. On my recent visit I shared a single meat and side and the portion was enough for both of us. The interesting drink selection and sauce selections are very fun too. The staff working the registers were nice and helpful. Be sure and try this out when you’re in Evansville if you haven’t stopped by before. The moist brisket is the answer if you’re not sure what to order.

This place never disappoints and every option on the menu is a good one. What surprised me the most was the service. From order time to service was under 10 minutes everytime I’ve gone. Plus the food is outstanding and we can’t wait to go back. Will return and highly recommend….

Usually Mission BBQ is a great experience, but had my first negative experience today. Got food for takeout and 10 minutes later was home to eat it. Sides were great but both meats were room temperature and on top of that the brisket was dry. Since I don’t know how long it sat out, not going to reheat and eat. $23 for basically green beans and mac.
Generally this place is great but next time I will be checking if the food is hot before I walk out.

I visited from Texas first time in Evansville The food was amazing, but we caught my attention was how welcoming the host Amber was. She immediately gave me small samples to select my meat. She was very hands-on quick and polite. The food itself was amazing. I got the brisket sandwich and I couldn’t even finish it because they gave me so much meat with the side of collard greens and mac & cheese for about nine dollars. Amber, thank you for your great hospitality. Keep up the great work

The service was good. Employee’s were friendly. Restaurant was very clean, and was very relaxing atmosphere. Nice place to go have a relaxing dinner with the family. The only thing I have negative to say about it is. The portions sizes for a to go order are pretty much or less than adequate for the price you pay. $21.00 for a sandwich and 2 sides and a very small drink. Could go to burger king and get a bigger meal. Don’t get me wrong the food was excellent. Very thing about the place is 5 star rating. But the portions is the only thing I came away disappointed with.

Absolutely amazing! The district manager and all staff was absolutely awesome! (Didn’t catch her name sorry) our food was delicious. I had the shrimp and my husband got the burger it was amazing. Definitely will be back!

Our lunch was over the top today. We ordered the pulled pork plates with macaroni, fries and baked beans. We also tried the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. The brisket was a little tough but there was a young lady who came by our table to check on us and we showed her the brisket meat. She apologized and brought us something else. I was so impressed with the service and friendly smiles of the staff we interacted with. This is an amazing place you have to try out. The floating server came buy our table a few other times during our meal asking if we wanted to try a couple samples and I can not tell your how pleasant she was an what an impression she left with us. The food that was shared by our table was very flavourful and we also tried several of the sauces. The decor inside is really a nice tribute to the military and of many who’ve give their all for mine and your freedoms. We will deffinetly be back to this delightful place soon. Our server who came by our table was Amber and she is all about customer service.

You are going to find Real Food here, no processed garbage. Check out these delicious meals the wife and I had a couple days ago, and looking forward to going back really soon.

The restaurant is Super Clean, including the restrooms, and you can see the kitchen and workers from the counter, so you know they are going to keep everything Super Clean.
I ordered French Fries as one of my sides, and they are fresh taters sliced and dropped right into the cooker. Oh, did I mention that you are not going to get processed garbage here??

First time visitor here . At first it was a little overwhelming as we didn’t know what to expect as we walked in we were thinking sit down look at a menu and then order . Nope u order in line and u kinda have to make a decision on the spot at the counter so I recommend looking at the online menu before going to restaurant. I ordered the pulled pork, cheesy potatoes and slaw. My boyfriend ordered the 3 meat sampler and slaw and baked beans. My pulled pork was very good and my cheesy potatoes were good as well. The slaw I was not a big fan of. The choice of sauces at the table was awesome. Would I go back yes definitely .I did enjoy the experience and the food was good. Nice atmosphere . Employees were friendly. I recommend this place.

I just ate a mission bbq store 24 in Evansville in and let me tell you, there was an employee working the dining room named Hunter. That guy is an incredibly attentive and hard working employee. He checked on us several times and got me a fork when i had forgotten one, offered us butter for our cornbread and was very nice and friendly. If we could get more food industry workers like him, these prices may be more worth it! Good job Hunter! Keep it up!! And thank you for making our visit pleasurable.
