Had never been to a Big Boy before, but I’d heard my husband’s family talk about it for years. While on a road trip, I stumbled upon this location – and I am so glad I did! The parking lot had plenty of space, and we were greeted and seated immediately.
Linda was our server, and if I could give her 10 stars, I would. She is the true definition of hometown hospitality and outstanding customer service. She absolutely made our visit unforgettable and should be the standard for anyone in the service industry.
The restaurant was clean, and the menu had so many great options to choose from. Linda recommended the fish sandwich, along with a gentleman sitting near us at the counter. It did not disappoint – perfectly cooked, light golden brown, not greasy at all, on a perfectly toasted bun with fresh lettuce. I had mine with corn (a delicious blend of creamed and regular corn) and a baked potato that was light and fluffy. My mom ordered the same fish sandwich with coleslaw and a baked potato – also perfect.
To top off our meal, the gentleman we’d been chatting with surprised us by buying us a slice of chocolate cake, insisting we couldn’t leave without trying it. And let me just say – AMEN! That cake was incredible… so good we joked we should have eaten it before lunch. We couldn’t quite finish it all, but we sure tried.
The people were incredibly kind, the food was excellent, and it couldn’t have been a better first experience. I even bought a jar of their tartar sauce to take home. The buffet also looked very impressive, with fried pork chops and fried catfish as the meats that day, along with fresh sides and a great-looking salad bar.
Prices were very reasonable – this is a place people can still afford to enjoy a great meal without compromising quality. Well done, Big Boy! We will absolutely be back.

Looking for a decent burger and fries quick? This fast food franchise will fill your tummy. The food was hot and fresh. It is worth your time and money if your craving some fast food. As for the best burger ever probably not few seasonings and ordinary ingredients. It was a bit pricey 10-20$ per person. Plenty of parking.

My Son and I stopped in while passing through. And we ordered a cheeseburger, onion rings with coke,
I had pancakes with sausage and eggs.
Normally I don’t leave bad reviews but I try my best to give a good honest opinion. And this place is some of the worst quality food that I have ever eaten.
I have no complaints about the service.
The atmosphere looked like a 1970’s version of 200 dollar budget late night movie.
I definitely will not recommend this place.

A wonderful place to have a meal. Got seated right away, waitress was right there to take our order, got our food in 5 minutes, quickly checked out. Obviously a very well managed restaurant.

The food is consistently good. We usually ask for Alysia because she gives us such great service. I like the options between the buffet and the menu. Good place to eat!

Overall decent place to eat. Food was good but lacked seasoning. Fresh onion rings were hard. Burger was ok. The lunch bar looked good but not enough choices for the price. Breakfast bar is usually pretty good. It’s definitely comfort food. I rated it 4 out of 5 I’d return. It’s one place that we know IS going to be ok. Breakfast is the go to here!

I have been eating at Frisches for close to 50 years, now I started at the mainline, in Cincinnati. Usually tastes are the same , I know what I like, and very rarely do I get something else. Wentworth to London ky, and I have eseveral times. Tonight, the tastes was really off. I got the super Big Boy platter, my wife got the fish meal, mine had fries and slaw, hers had naked potatoe with slaw. First the slaw, it’s what she brought to us first, it tasted like cabbage soaked in its juice, with a teaspoon of offer milk. Nothing like the cole saw should taste like, fries was a bit over cooked, the tarter sauce I got because I dip my fries in it, tasted like a wet sauce, nothing like the Frisches Tarter Sauce I purchase in the jars, or like what i ate not long ago for lunch. It really was like a bad copycat version. A very bad version. Baked potato was supposedly changed to mashed with brown gravy, because there no sour cream, the lady brought based , potatoe with about a pound of butter, it was fine, we changed before the waitress put the order in. Burger, hardly had any tarter on it. Enough to cover a small pickle, none seasoned what I believed to be frozen patties, not even an quality frozen, but cheap quality. I don’t know if it was someones new running the evening shift, new person on grill. When a diet mt dew is the only thing that tastes good, there is problem,. The Fish, fried way over the time, was extremely hard, dark brown, like there slaw is perfect not to much vinegar just perfect, there food is just like the mainline. Frisches please double better never got a refill utility my meal was complete I’m from Ohio originally, so I know my frischs. And this is not even in the running.

Enjoyed the breakfast bar at Frisch’s Big Boy on Sat morn. Restaurant was really BUSY…but we were seated fairly quickly. Breakfast bar was well stocked with items. Eggs, sausage, bacon, gravy, apples, hashbrowns, pancakes, muffins, grits, biscuits.,etc.. Everything we ate was hot and fresh. Disposable gloves were placed on buffet for patrons to use when dishing up their plates. Enjoyed breakfast!! Good job Frisch’s!!

Bang for your buck. Road-trip thru Kentucky got us stopping for dinner for the never frozen burgers of Frisch’s Big Boy. A staple main stay of ever fresh, made to order American favorites for 75 years. All day breakfast, baked goods, burgers, chicken, sandwiches, soups/salads and dinners are some of your menu choices. A simple but retro feel of padded booths, counter seating and soup/salad bar. My Big Boy Original came with two 1/4 lb. grilled patties with a slice of American Cheese, shredded lettuce, Frisch’s Original tartar sauce and pickles. Making it a platter gives you nearly a dozen sides to pick from and I ordered the loaded potato and mac and cheese. Burger was nicely seasoned, juicy and of reasonable size. Loaded potato came with bacon, cheese and a side of sour cream and butter. Baked potato could have certainly been heated up a bit as cheese didn’t even melt and the mac was ok with a more processed cheesiness. Overall meal was enjoyable and service friendly and accommodating. Certainly worth the cost.

Today’s experience was far below subpar. We waited an hour to put in our drink orders, an extra half hour to be told that there was no hot chocolate and place our regular orders. Getting our food was long as well. It was troublesome seeing other larger tables around us get seated, fed, and leave before we placed orders. I did not take pictures this time as the food was not presentable and I do not believe that is what this location provides regularly. Our server was nice, and may have been doing their best, but it was extremely frustrating. The seating was poor also, as I had been asked to push in and was right up against the table, as they had placed the Christmas tree directly behind my seat.
