My husband and I came for dinner tonight and were thoroughly impressed!! The food was amazing. We both had steak and mashed potatoes, sooo good! AND the food came out so fast, we couldn’t believe it! Our server was also a sweetheart (I didn’t get her name, Australian accent? Beautiful red hair!!). She was efficient when it came to clearing our table, our drinks came quick, dirty plates were cleared fast, and our bill came right after we asked! We will definitely be back next time we travel to Canmore and will suggest to any of our friends or family heading this way!! Thank you The Wood for a fabulous first dinner in Canmore.

I had the steak sandwich and asked for a medium rare steak. Mine came very well done, to a point tha it was close to impossible to cut it.
You pay for the location and the view of the mountains. However, if you come at night like us you cannot see a thing, so the premium for the view is pointless.
Service and atmosphere were amazing, though. Lots of families, friends and young couples. And, in all fairness, my kids enjoyed their food. My wife complained that the soup was too spicy, but she is not big on spicy food anyways.

Great food and atmosphere. Looking out at the mountains is always a plus. Cranberry sour beer was a first – is definitely return for more. Appetizers were filling. The wonton nachos were different but amazing. Great way to mix-up nachos!! Will return next time we’re in Canmore.

I had the Linguine Puttanesca and my husband had the cedar plank salmon. We ordered the wood Caesar salad also to start. My linguine I felt was missing flavour it was a bit spicy in olives and capers without the taste. I love olives but this just did not bring out the best side of olives. My husband enjoyed the salmon but said it was a bit dry and over cooked. The vegetables were undercooked coming in a bit hard. The mashed potatoes were excellent with great flavour and cooked to perfection. The music got too loud and was irritating genre. The view from our table was beautiful.

Tried the salmon burger for the first time and it was absolutely delicious! Loved that they had yam fries – seriously the best.
The patio is dog-friendly, which is a big plus, but our table didn’t have much shade so it got pretty hot. Still, great food and good vibes overall!

Went here last night with the family. Had the Bison Burger which was lovely and upgraded to the garlic fries, which were some of the best fries I’ve ever had! My partner had the Steak Sandwich which she said was lovely. Staff were always helpful and the kids also loved the halloween decor outside as well!

The Wood Restaurant and Lounge was super chill on a Monday night. Since it was Thanksgiving, we enjoyed some pumpkin brews that were really tasty. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed, and it made for a great evening. Would definitely return. We did not get any food, but it all looked delicious.

Great time at the Wood with friends. My friend ask for a Blue Moon and the waitress found a great one and checking after to see it was ok. For the waitress (Night BA), on Busy Friday too. That is the best service I see for years. Also,I love my Tuna Wonton Cup.
