This place was exceptionally great! The food here is so delicious. The braised short rib stuffed ravioli with mushrooms, tomatoes, and spinach in a creamy brown sauce was so good. And the gorgonzola stuffed gnocchi with steak, wild mushrooms, white wine and pesto was full a flavor. Both dishes were amazingly delicious. The atmosphere was street side for us. Dining outside was pleasant. The inside is a bit noisy. Our server Elizabeth was great. She took good care of us and made our first time experience at Clasico a great one. As a local Sarasota resident, I would highly recommend you try Clasico. You won’t be disappointed.

So I am an airline pilot by trade. So I have the fortune of dining all over the United States, Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean.

Italian food seems to be interesting because the restaurants tend to be really good at one thing and kind ok in other areas.

In this case the food was truly off the chart for Italian. It was about as perfect as I could ask for. I had the Bucatini. It was wonderful. The temperature was perfect it was cooked and prepared about his perfection as you can get. What was wonderful and most memorable were the meatballs. Because it was the perfect mix of seasonings where there wasn’t one seasoning that over bears the other ones the meatball was not overdone under cut. They were just perfection which is very very hard to find.

I was served by two talented lady bartenders since I was by myself I take up a table. And they were funny! Very good at service! And made the visit very pleasant. Which again is very hard to find especially in this day and time we find our ourselves.

So hats off to the management staff at the restaurant for hiring great people for the team.

I had their dessert which were freshly made donuts. Which you had kind of laugh at but they were really really done well and about his gourmet as you can get as far as donuts go as it were.

The price point for everything was absolutely reasonable. They could probably charge a great deal more for what you receive at this establishment.

So this is on the top of my list Italian probably for the state of Florida. Let alone Sarasota. You will not be disappointed having dinner at the Clasico!

I had a wonderful Sunday brunch at Classico after church! My friends and I tried a variety of dishes— my friend got the kale salad, I had the short rib hash, another friend ordered the steak and egg entree along with the smoked salmon small plate, and my sister got the 1341 Benedict and some waffles. Everything we tried was delicious and beautifully presented. Chef Brandon does a great job.

For drinks, I had the La Vie en Gold, which comes in a martini glass and even had cute little hearts on top which was such a sweet touch! I’m not typically a bourbon drinker, but I love amaretto, and this cocktail is always a favorite of mine. My friend had the Frequent Flyer, it was good, but I still preferred mine.

The service was excellent. Our server was personable, friendly, and took the time to answer all our questions. She made sure my friends, who were new to the restaurant, had a great experience, and I appreciated how attentive she was throughout brunch.

The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere all came together to make a really enjoyable Sunday brunch. I’m glad we tried Classico for brunch, it didn’t disappoint! ☺️

Delicious food and gorgeous place to dine! Pasta was homemade and fresh. Everything we had was fantastic. Menu is a great size, so they have something for everyone. We’re from ATL, but we will definitely revisit if we ever come back to Sarasota!

We came to this restaurant, and what an excellent experience we had. From the moment we walked in, everyone was very friendly and attentive. We were fortunate to be served by Carla, who made us feel very special, always attentive to everything.

The food was delicious, with authentic flavors. For drinks, I ordered very good margaritas. Congratulations to the kitchen; they do a great job. We met Chef David, who made the experience even more special. Thank you so much. I loved it!

One of the few places I’ve been where I can resoundingly say I love and have no notes to improve upon. The atmosphere is incredible and paired with an attentive and lovely wait staff. The food is exceptional and reasonably priced for such incredible quality along with very quick time from order to food served. Highly recommend the short rib pizza and the chef ravioli. Cannot recommend enough, indeed one of the best places in Sarasota!

We had an excellent experience dining here for an early dinner. The place was nicely decorated and had a great ambiance. We had made a reservation and were seated immediately. Drinks were ordered and arrived quickly. They were also very accommodating with some special requests we had with our baby. We started off by ordering a small plate of meatballs, as well as a wedge salad. They were delicious. The entrees we ordered were the bolognese, chicken Parmesan, pork chop and chicken pesto pasta. Everything was fantastic! Even the kids pizza was large and tasty. Our entire party enjoyed all of the food and had no complaints at all. The service was excellent throughout. We can’t wait to go back, and would definitely recommend Clasico for a wonderful meal!

Had a great experience here and the food was delicious. Our waiter Kyle was very nice and accommodating. He recommended the shrimp for my ravioli dish (chef’s special), which was delicious. I look forward to coming back! 🙂

Today’s five-star review — it’s about humanity, hospitality, and true front-of-house culture

I was driving through downtown when I received devastating news that a close friend had passed away from cancer. I still had a client meeting ahead of me, and before that meeting I just needed ten minutes to sit somewhere quiet and collect myself.

I came in and simply asked for an orange juice, explaining that I’d only be there briefly.

Without hesitation, the host told me, “This is on us.” Complimentary. No questions. No awkwardness. Just kindness.

That small gesture meant more than they probably realized in that moment. It reminded me how powerful simple compassion can be — especially when someone is silently carrying something heavy.

The food here is always excellent, but today the team earned these five stars.

A reminder to everyone: always treat people kindly. You never know what someone is going through — or why they’re sitting alone with just an orange juice.

Thank you ❤️
