We went to Black Dog, and it was such a great experience! The building has a very rustic charm super cozy and welcoming. I was really impressed by how clean everything was; you can tell they take pride in keeping the place spotless.The food was absolutely amazing everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The drinks could be a little better, but the service more than made up for it. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home.

This was the first restaurant ever in USA for me. I enjoyed it every time. The waiters were great and the service in general. You get a good sized portion for your money too. I’m really glad that I went there a few times before I had to leave. Definitely worth a visit.

I’m not a huge BBQ person but I did enjoy my meal from them! I got Brisket with some corn bread and a baked potato, the meat was pretty tender and flavorful. Me and my partner also got the Mac and cheese to share and that was pretty good as well. This place is pretty huge and has a variety of places to sit. Our waitress was super nice and attentive, I would definitely come back and try some new dishes.

The fried green beans was delicious. Who would of thought. I was very impressed with them. The garlic dill that comes with them is a great dippping mix.Disappointed with the pretzel bites. They tasted great but the cost of what you get does not equate in my opinion. For my meal I just got the burnt end appetizer. The size was perfect for me. They were so tender and the outside of the brisket was flavorful. It needed a little more flavor on the inside. Others in my party got the special of the day which was the stew. They like it. Another ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs and was satisfied. Also the brisket was ordered, thay was a tad dry. Will I go back? Yes! The atmosphere is energetic, the menu is bountiful, the staff was fantastic. I am looking forward to bring other items on the menu.

This place checked all the boxes. The hanging bacon was fire and we got a sample of all 3 types they had. The Chipotle was good the candied was gas and the smoked was fire. Shrimp cocktail sauce was spicy the way I love it and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. Their signature Blueberry wings were crispy like we wanted them, the sauce was different not my cup of tea until I dipped it in blue cheese then it took it to that amazing level that I had been waiting for it was a complete bite at that point. My filet mignon was perfectly cooked rare. The baked potato was great. The carrots were so good I got a second helping. My wife got the 3 meat meal sausage was smoked to perfection great flavor. The burnt brisket ends were amazingly full of flavor and juicy. The ribs were tender and fell off the bone the taste was good but it was even better when we used the BBQ sauce that was on the table. Well Done, Black Dog Bar and Grill Putnam, Well Done.

This is a hidden gem right out in the middle. We stopped in on Valentines Day for a late lunch or early supper. The daily specials were amazing choices. I chose the Vhicken Cornan Blu. My Valentine had the Shipyard Chicken off the regular menu. She loved it. I liked mine as well. We finished it off with a dollhouse pie. Yes it’s a fresh baked cookie with ice cream and whipped cream topping. The portions were plentiful and enough for a second meal. Nate took great care of us. The managers walk the carpet and will check on you to ensure everything is up to standards. Find it. Drive there. And enjoy a great meal or hang with friends.

So I have to give full props to our waitress, she was soooooo nice and helpful when we walked in. I’d literally gotten of a plane from Europe 2 hours before, so she just got exactly what I needed in terms of food suggestions.
I went with the fish and chips and when I say this platter was huge….look at my pics. I ate for four days off this meal, it was so much food. The side of Mac I got too was fantastic, everyone needs to try it. We all also took some peanut butter pie to go with each of us and I can confirm it’s perfection when paired with coffee for breakfast. I’m coming back again to try the ribs!

My family and I ordered Togo, but let me assure you that this is a place you won’t want to overlook! The portions are huge, and what’s better is everything is absolutely delicious. I used to work for a restaurant revered for its burnt ends- this place rivals them! They’re amazing. Thank you for making my last day in town noteworthy!
