We greet the sunrise by slicing and juicing fresh fruits and vegetables, whipping French toast batter from scratch and brewing pots of our single-origin Project Sunrise coffee. Freshness is never comprised, which is why we welcome each season into our menu with ingredients and flavors inspired by the position of the sun. First Watch in River Oaks has quickly become our favorite brunch spot! Their pancakes are absolutely delicious — fluffy, perfectly cooked, and easily the best in the area. The brunch menu overall is fresh, tasty, and always consistent.
We were lucky to be helped by Davion, who gave us outstanding service! He was attentive, friendly, and made sure our experience was perfect from start to finish.
If you’re looking for a place with great food, amazing light fluffy pancakes, and excellent service, this is it. Highly recommend!

The Food was decent.. we ordered the Smoked salmon eggs benedict. It wasn’t the best I have had but it was good. The salad they served with it was very refreshing with the lemon vinaigrette. For sides we had buttered Grits ,which was good.
The wholegrain pancake was excellent, we had the banana almond crunch. It was delicious. Ther service overall was great and the ambiance was good too..

Crappy .. just crappy. Our server was a tall stocky gay guy.. when I wanted a meal plus a full side the look on his face was like wow for one person.. uh okay.. like excuse me… never checked on us. Was super rude it felt like the whole time. Didn’t give two craps to ask if we wanted anything else. Has to get host and other people to get our drinks topped off. Worst experience ever honestly

This was my first visit at a First Watch location in Houston. The River Oaks location was amazing! The food was amazing as always, but the service was even better and really made our brunch experience memorable. Brooklyn was our server and she was extremely attentive, kind, and brought out everything super fast. Love this location and our server! Highly recommend.
