I just ordered delivery from this location for two TropiChop Bowls, some sweet plantains, and a chicken Caesar wrap.
The presentation of the bowls wasn’t fantastic, but at least I can say they were made correctly and as ordered. Unfortunately, the plantains looked like I got a regular size, instead of the large, as it was only like halfway filled. And then the wrap was smaller than my hand; it felt like it should’ve been in a kid’s meal, and a huge waste of almost $10!
Overall, I’m just very disappointed in the quality of food that’s coming out. Everything just seemed extremely rushed and not much attention to detail. Like for example, it even says on my receipt, I was supposed to receive four barbecue sauces and only received three. Certainly not the end of the world, but a very easy thing that could’ve been done right the first time. My final issue was that they didn’t give me any napkins or cutlery to eat my food with. Rushed rushed rushed…

The food was not good at all. It’s surprising how the quality of food in this restaurant chain differs depending on the location one visits. I ordered the shredded beef Tropichop. The rice was drenched – I guess from the liquidy “shreds” of beef, and the black beans were not edible! They truly had a strange taste to them. When I returned it to the manager, one of the female staff stood staring at me with a menacing look, hand gestures and all!

I made an online order via their app Pollo Tropical App tonight. Order No.: 40610603601887240 at this location, store no.: 10054.
The person picking this order up for me went through the drive thru, and they said my order did not exist.
I spoke with the manager inside of the store via speaker phone to resolve this issue, and had him show the manager my receipt for this order, proof of payment, order number, and ask the manager to make my order.
The manager refused to make my order or issue me a refund. Thanks to using up the last of my money in my bank account for this order that was not fulfilled and not getting a refund, and I now don’t have any money to eat tonight which was supposed to be the first time that I have eaten anything today.
Happy New Years and NEVER order from this restaurant via the Pollo Tropical App. You might not get your food and a refund while the female manager refuses to help. I’m filing a complaint with corporate because this is HIGHLY unacceptable.

We’re fans of Pollo Tropical in general, and this location has definitely improved in appearance since its remodel, but a MAJORITY of the time, we have found something to be missing from the order. If we dine in, it’s easy to get that sorted out, but if you get takeout, you really need to check your order before you leave. They used to have a sauce bar that was a highlight of the experience, but now you ask for these little cups of sauce when you order. My latest order shows all the sauces we requested, but not a single one of them was put in the bag for pickup. What’s worse, I didn’t notice before leaving that my Tropichops Trio was actually only a duo, because they also left out the mojo pork. The food is great, and (when it is included) in decent portions, but the high mistake frequency (never in my favor of course) on packing the bags is the primary reason we don’t drop by more often at this location.

However, the menu lack of RED Beans with potatoes. The Caribbean Islanders have with rice (white, yellow with vegetable, or other yellow with meat) as main dish with RED Beans. What happen to the RED Beans with tomatoes sauce and potatoes??

Overall it’s one of the worst ones i’ve been to, my food was given to me cold and when i go back they seem annoyed? They gave me back the same exact food i turned in just microwaved. I don’t mind waiting for fresh food, it’s what I pay for and ask for. Seems like they just want to take the easy way out. The food did not taste the same since it was SCORCHING now giving me burns inside my mouth. The cashier was nice however I will not be returning to this location after this horrible experience. I do not recommend coming here, there’s plenty of other options nearby!
