Growing up Northern New Jersey I’ve been to a couple diners. Anybody who knows Northern New Jersey knows that’s a significant understatement.
Georgie’s Diner would stand out.
Avgolemono soup was scrumptious. I decided to have a lighter but I would shrimp Caesar salad. Perfect dressing perfectly cooked shrimp. Others in our party have open hot turkey sandwich as well as the Grape Leaves. All excellent.

So close to 5 stars. Its hard to rate a place based on breakfast. It was a great breakfast. I had the smoked salmon Benedict. My wife loved her breakfast plater of eggs and corn beef hash. French toast was very tender.

The food took a bit to get to the table and I will attribute that to the fact that they were jam packed. The food was hot and had great flavor. They have the largest tater tots I have ever seen. Its not a ” cheap” meal but there is a lot of food for the price you pay. There is parking out back.

Everything about my visit was excellent, earning a top rating. From the moment I stepped in, the classic diner setting provided the perfect, authentic atmosphere. I highly recommend the pork roll and egg. It was prepared flawlessly. Although I arrived close to lunchtime (around 11:50 a.m.) and took a seat at the counter, the quick service and view were ideal. A special shout-out to the biscuit—it was truly outstanding and a highlight of the meal

Great place in St Augustine, FL to enjoy an awesome lunch. My husband ordered the Classic Burger & I ordered the Turkey Bacon Wrap. Both meals came with a choice of either kringle or waffle fries and your choice of soda, tea or water to drink. You will not leave hungry. Our food portions were alot. I had to get a to- go box for half of my meal to eat later. The restaurant is a 1960 style diner. In the background you can hear Sixties Oldies music playing quietly. We didn’t have to wait very long for our food. Our waitress was pleasant and helpful. This restaurant also has a good breakfast & dinner menu as well.

I’d been wanting to try Georgie’s Dinner for a while, and I finally made it there this week — it did not disappoint! The food was delicious and came out quickly, and we loved being able to sit on the patio with our dog. Our server, Michele, was fantastic — attentive, friendly, and had great suggestions that we ended up trying and loving. I’ll definitely be going back!
