The BEST Hot Dogs in Winston-Salem!!! As described By Heather S. 3/19/2006 PB’s Takeout has the BEST hot dogs in Winston-Salem. Besides the fact that they have won many awards for their hot dogs, once you take a bite of one for yourself, you’ll certainly understand why. PB’s is a little hole in the wall place that if you didn’t know about their delicious food, you’d probably just keep on driving by. During lunch time, the place is usually packed. It isn’t very big inside and the seating is limited. I usually just get my orders to go. The line moves very fast, so don’t worry if you get there and it is coming out of the door. Try this place out if you haven’t! It’s GREAT!

Cool little hot dog joint in Winston-Salem. Prices are really reasonable and the service was excellent. Flavor of the hot dog was basic, but good. Whatever this spot is doing, it seems to be working for the community. Give it a try.

I have heard about this Winston-Salem staple for most of my life, and I finally had the opportunity to try it. It did not disappoint.
The traditional hot dog was great. It was exactly what I wanted and expected: a simple hot dog with fries and a drink.
While my meal was good, there are some drawbacks to this establishment. One, the parking is fairly limited. Two, they have a minimal menu (basically only Hot dogs, hamburgers, wings, fries, and tater tots) and are cash only.
I did not know this until I was at the counter, but thankfully, I had cash on hand. To boot, this meal was CHEAP—less than $9, which is a deal in this economy. I enjoyed my experience, but some customers may not like the drawbacks I mentioned above.

Best burger my girlfriend said best hot dog. Service is great. Wings need help I tried them they really had no taste. But I love the burgers and service.

Went to another hole in the wall today and it didn’t disappoint. This place takes cash only and looked crazy full but it’s just the parking people park all over the place for all the establishments on this corner lot. There a couple of benches outside and stools inside facing out. Most of the people in line actually had to go orders and there was plenty of places to sit. Had chili dogs and cheese fries and my husband had two chili dogs w/regular fries and drinks.The drinks are free refills the buns are buttered and toasted yum very generous with the cheese and chili will be back.

Definitely has that comfy, local spot vibe. Went in and grabbed a burger and fries today. They were made to order and it was fresh and delicious, I’m a big fan of the crinkle cut fries, and I feel like you can’t get a burger and fries for under ten dollars anywhere else. Service was kind and quick. Will be back!

This CASH ONLY business has some of the best Burgers in town. Thick hearty beef cooked on the flat grill that probably gives them that seasoned flavor of years of hot dogs & burgers being cooked on them. Make sure you get a side of their perfectly cooked fries, not too crunchy on outside and soft on inside. Only complaint I have is I need more fries! You would think their food would be overly greasy but it is not. You can get your items with what ever extras you want on them like pickles & onions. Free refills on your fountain drinks to wash it all down. The place is small with limited indoor seating and 3 picnic tables outside. Amble private parking so you have no excuse not to visit……just don’t forget the cash! Staff is always courteous and friendly.

Very pricey for low quality food . My husband got the 2 hot dog special and I got one hot dog with cheese fries and it came out to be 18$ . I heard great things about this place and decided to try it out just to be let down .
