.. for those who like to travel and find random one of a kind places and enjoy great food and service.. here it is.. the ONLY Golden Corral in American the is NOT a buffet. Here you go! Nice menu including pasta and seafood, chicken and of course steak.. decent salad bar and fresh lettuce and veggies, and soup and chilli. Jess was a star server for us, she was very attentive. Will stop again when we are on the road..

I was quite surprised how good all of our dinners were being the fact that I didn’t care much for the old golden corral. I’m not much of a buffet person. We had prime rib, fried fish dinner and a baked fish dinner, which all were excellent and perfectly cooked. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and very clean along with excellent and friendly service. We will definitely return.

So much they can improve on. Needs a good deep cleaning inside. Inconsistent food between the table and it all being cooked wrong. Never again. if you like tough way overcooked meat this is your place. Pic of medium rare steak included which was like shoe leather.

I never dreamed in a million years I would be giving you this chain of five star review.. this is something different altogether. The model here is a cook to order model but only the salad bar in soup remaining buffet style. Everything was prepared perfectly, even with some local dishes added. The service was impeccable and the place meticulously clean. Have to give credit where credit is due when doing reviews. 10/10

This is a statehouse Golden Corral. We went for the gator bites expecting the wow factor per YouTube recommendation but that was not it. They were good but not wow! In general the food was good, good price as we were expecting a very expensive bill, but that was not the case. I don’t think I will come back but I will definitely consider if I am in the area. I also want to add the great service we received, thanks.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this restaurant today. My son is a big fan of Golden Corral but I knew he was thinking of the buffet. I was a fan of GC BEFORE the buffet days. I used to work for them back then. I was truly happy when we walked in and it was so clean and well-kept. My son ordered the salad bar and the Mac and cheese hamburger. It was huge. He would get tgat again! I ordered the grilled snapper and garden salad. It was beyond all my expectations. Well seasoned and served piping hot. Jocelyn was our server and she was great! We will look forward to another visit here. Well done Lake Placid GC GRILL!

Wanted to try this place out during a recent visit to Lake Placid. Seen where Golden Corral was trying out a new concept restaurant and this was the only one so far. I liked the inside and decor, thought it looked good. Went during lunch, the menu was decent and the prices were fair. Got the meatloaf, which didn’t blow my mind, but was just as good as any I’ve had before. All three of us were pleased with our meals and had leftovers to take home.

I cant wrap my head around the changes. If it aint broke dont fix it. I miss rhe buffet that was the Golden Coral staple. The food was good as usual but not having the full buffet is a downer. The new method is a minimal buffet with a choice of meat that comes as a single serving. I hope they dont do this with all the other restaurants.
