We had my daughter’s rehearsal dinner here. There were 16 of us and we sat in a semi private section of the restaurant. There are a couple spots available like that and then there is a private room for a fee. Everything was fantastic. I worked with Leroy and he did such a great job. Upon arrival we found the long tables covered with a white table cloth and decorated with napkins and flowers in my daughter’s wedding colors. The service was amazing. Our server checked with me as to when I would like the food to begin and numerous other details. We got a limited menu with 6 choices and they were personalized with a congratulations to the Bride & Groom. It came with salad, an entree, beverages and they threw in a complimentary dessert. The food arrived hot and it was all so delicious! Everyone was happy with their meal. I also loved the vibe. This is a wonderful place for large groups. I would definitely come back here for dinner or a special occasion.

We arrived early afternoon on a Saturday. Although greeted with cheers of welcoming at the door, the service didn’t keep the rhythm flowing. The server took at least 30 minutes to acknowledge us after being seated. There was only one other couple siting and eating on the other side of the room, so, there’s no excuse. I could say more, but I’ll keep it right there.
Once our food was ordered it did not take long afterwards to receive it, and the servings were plentiful and tasty .
If you’re coming out with a nasty attitude to service people, it makes me think What’s going on in the kitchen?
Continuous training is a must. Serve people the way you want to be serve. But when it comes to business, it’s management.
Weekly training meetings is a must, especially if you’re adding gratuity to the bill. They’re already getting what they’re not earning. SMH ♀️

We went on a Saturday nighy. The live music WAS AMAZING!!!!!!! All the food tasted just OKAY. IN MY OPINION it tasted like something was missing( it needed some flavor). The sangria tasted like juice.

Amazing experience at Fishbone Southfield! From start to finish everything was excellent. Our server was fantastic and gave great recommendations that did not disappoint. The food options were absolutely to die for. I ordered the lamb chops and they were cooked perfectly, tender and full of flavor. For the price of the lamb chops, I did expect a little more, but overall the quality and experience were still great. I would definitely return!

Ordered the Pasta Orleans for pick up. It was ready right on time and the young man working at the carry out counter was very nice. Haven’t eaten at the restaurant for quite some time but I wouldn’t mind going back as I really liked the vibe. As usual the Pasta Orleans was delicious.

First and foremost, I have to update my review — apparently, the great experience my buddy and I had after work was a complete anomaly. Since moving to my new office (just three buildings down), I’ve been back twice for lunch, and both times were exactly what you’d expect from a forced-gratuity spot: God awful.
The second visit really sealed it for me. I checked in on Swarm, so I know the timeline — from the time I checked in to the time I got my food, it was 45 minutes. That’s ridiculous for lunch. I only get an hour, but I ended up there for an hour and 20 minutes. Not good.
Service? Even worse. The waitress never came back to check on me, and when I was finally ready to leave, I had to hunt her down for the bill. At one point, I just sat there… and sat there… to the point I was about ready to walk out. When she finally reappeared, she said, “Oh, I was in the back” — whatever that means.
If you’ve got a long lunch break and don’t mind a server disappearing for most of your meal, sure, this is your spot. But if you’re on a time crunch? Avoid it. This is not the place for a quick, quality lunch.

The food at this restaurant was incredible—everything was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. We also took advantage of the lunch specials, which were a great deal. The service was excellent, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Just a heads-up, they do add an 18% gratuity to the bill, so be mindful of that. Overall, I highly recommend this spot and will definitely return whenever I’m back in Detroit!

A recent visit reminded me just how special this restaurant really is. I grew up in the South, and shrimp and grits has always been my all-time favorite dish, so I thought I knew what great shrimp and grits tasted like. Turns out, I had no idea. This version completely blew my taste buds away. Hands down, it was the best shrimp and grits I have ever had and honestly, one of the best things I have ever eaten.
As if that wasn’t enough, the catfish filet was the perfect finishing touch. I may need to plan another trip to Detroit just to experience the incredible food at Fishbone’s Rhythm Kitchen Café again. Every bite was worth every penny and then some.

The food was mediocre at best and very overpriced. The alligator items were so having breaded that I couldn’t taste the meat and the breading was too salty. I also ordered the bayou platter and the fish was not seasoned at all. It’s not very often I don’t finish my food but this was one of those times. The key lime pie and raw oysters were good but it took over 10 minutes to get Tabasco sauce for the oysters. I won’t be going back here.

We had a birthday party for my mother who turned 86 . Leroy the Supervisor and his wonderful and dedicated staff did a fabulous job in serving us and making us feel so special. They were just simply magnificent and my mom felt so loved. They handled everything with professionalism, grace and kindness. I wish I could give each and every one of them a Great big . Thank you for making this day so special for my mom. I will scream from the rooftops how great the service is and how wonderful the staff is. Needless to say the food was excellent and plentiful.
