The amount of cheese is ridiculous. I just wanted bean and cheese and I get a pound of cheese with a sprinkle of beans in a tortilla. The only upside is I didn’t have to pay extra for the wasted cheese, but I paid for food that wasn’t worth it.

I’ve been feeling under the weather, so I decided to drive and get some menudo to make me feel better. I got home and it was just full of bones, hardly any meat or corn. Really disappointed. Their food is usually great; I’ve never had a bad experience when I’ve gone before, but I drove 7.2 miles for a soup that only had bones and no meat. Hopefully you can make this better.

The food was very delicious! It was fresh and hot. Salsas were delicious. Customer service was fast and friendly. Lemonades were very good! The place just needs some fresh TLC but I can’t complain about the food. I got the 5 rolled tacos and I will be going back for more. Like I said the place does need some TLC that’s why I dropped a star but it was a good place to go for lunch.

I love Balitos, it’s the only place I can actually get a decent Cali burrito and my wife loves their tortas. I usually go to the one off of bitters but I’ve moved to the other side of town so now this one is the closest. All I can say is that every time I go to this one, half of the carne asada is fat or cartilage and when I ask for sour cream and guacamole they put a very small amount on one side of the burrito so I either good a few good bites to start and then nothing or nothing and then end with a few good bites. If I have to pay 15 dollars for a burrito in Texas no less (in Cali theyre like 8 and waaaaaay better, everything is more expensive in Cali ) it at least should be made like they give a crap about the quality. The bread on my wife’s torta was stale too, I won’t be back to this location

The quality of food really depends on who is cooking. The day i made this review was a day when the worst cooks are there. One cook who’s name I didn’t bother to ask for, is always the source of quality problems. His ego vastly outweighs his ability. As a long time customer I take notice of the people who prepare my food. I do this because I appreciate the hard work and respect for food that is required to maintain a good eating establishment. Unfortunately the cook here has no respect for his workplace, customers,or food. He makes this place hit or miss. So that leaves me wondering, as a customer if it’s worth the gamble to stop in and see if the is person is cooking or not. The answer is most likely is its easier to go down the street to another spot.

This is California style mexican food, and it’s always delicious. They are famous for their carne asada burrito, nachos and fries. They give good portions. I like the salsa bar. The service was excellent.
