Went here on a sunny Sunday morning. Our wait time was about 20 minutes and after being seated we waited 7-8 minutes to be greeted by Stella. She took our coffee orders and they were promptly delivered. My Mocha was delicious, sorry no picture. My quesadilla with black beans hit the spot and my wife enjoyed her Avocado Toast. Both plates were plentiful. Stella did a great job checking with us and had a great attitude and smile on a very busy day. We were a bit disappointed after being told the kitchen did not make modification to orders. We loved the Mission Bay vibe and enjoyed our leisurely breakfast.

Such a great breakfast spot in a beach town! The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The pancakes were generous in size and absolutely delicious, and the chilaquiles were super tasty and satisfying.
It’s also a very kid-friendly place, making it perfect for families. A relaxed, welcoming vibe with great food—definitely a place we’d come back to for breakfast. Great place to stop at before heading to Sea World.

Mission Cafe has always been a favorite in my family when we’re here for vacation. We got there as soon as they opened on a Friday and there was no wait in the morning. Very peaceful and quiet in the sitting area. We had great service and Nikki made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. We usually come in during the summer time but the fall season was new to us and will probably be back again in the next season!

Our first time eating at the Mission. Chose this place because of the amazing on line menu photos. Food was plated and served just like the photos and the flavor was amazing! Our waiter Omid was really friendly and did an amazing job with helping us decide what to order. Would highly recommend this place!

Yes, I posted a picture of my empty plate. It was the BEST! In all my travels I have to say this is my favorite lunch spot in the world ! I’ve literally been coming here for over 15 years (I do not live in San Diego) I could come here daily, try everything on the menu and not get tired of it. Even the coffee is simply out of this world. 2X as good as any coffee shop. Even that toast I took a picture of is Grilled w/Rosemary!! My compliments to the chef.
The soy chorizo omelette was Soo good I didn’t even put hot sauce on it, which of course is a staple for eggs in my book.
Fabulous!
I’ll be back tomorrow

We are in San Diego on vacation and came here almost every morning for breakfast. As a vegetarian I really appreciate their variety on the menu. I’ve gotten chilaquiles, zen breakfast, veggie omelet. You can’t go wrong with any option on their menu. Their rosemary potatoes and banana bread are delicious. Evan was our server most times we were here and he was very attentive and helpful (and as he says a stud ). Portions are large – you can tell they put a lot of care in their food. I feel spoiled by their breakfasts and I’ll miss going here after vacation.

Cute brunch place, big and didn’t have to wait too long. No egg Benedicts but overall decent menu. They don’t have a kids menu but will make smaller portions for kids if you request, which is very nice.
