C.J. Cannon’s Restaurant and Lounge has been serving Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner in Vero Beach since 1984, and has become a destination for locals, visitors and celebrities through out the years. Menu-Cover A casual theme restaurant boasts an American / Southern style menu specializing in the comfort foods we grew up on. Overlooking the runways at the Vero Beach Airport, C.J. Cannon’s offers amazing views of aircraft take offs and landings, and over sees a lush garden walking area. Plenty of retro aircraft memorabilia, celebrity autographs, pictures and history are scattered throughout the walls of the restaurant.

The food and service is excellent. The dining room was clean and nicely decorated for Christmas. It can be a little loud at times. My husband and I went there for lunch. I got the Polynesian salad with grilled chicken and it was more than plentiful (I took half home) and my husband got the turkey club sandwich. Both were great. The price was very reasonable and the food came quickly. Server was very friendly.

Food has no taste. Neither burger Neither sweet potatoes. I don’t understand why there is zero spices inside burger meet and I need to add mayo and ketchup. In this case, what the chef job to put meet between the bun?
Server was rude, I dnk if it was a manager or owner. Two grandmas were so rude, and only one was nice a talkative.

You will love it here!! It shares a space with our wonderful small yet mighty airport. You can watch an array of the locals planes land while you eat. I recommend waiting for a window seat if it’s your first visit. The owners and staff are lovely. It feels like you’re at home and in a diner at the same time. The food is delicious as well. This is a gem of Vero Beach, definitely visit! Everyone loves to come here. My photos are from over the course of several visits. We have never had one bad experience and the servers are always nice. They work hard. I have a hard time with one negative reviewer saying she’s a good looking lady but didn’t get kind service for a cup of coffee probably during a busy time-I think her own statement says enough. And the not sure what the hype is about but you didn’t even get to sit bc it was so busy… You can’t rate a restaurant you never ate at. The sit down experience there are 10 booths near the window where you can see the planes. It’s like prime real estate if you don’t want a line don’t come during peak time. I never ever do. I like a peaceful experience. So there is a tip for those 2,189 reviews that gave 1 star. That’s just like disregard them.

We had such a wonderful experience at this local gem! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and relaxed — exactly what you hope for when going out to enjoy a great meal.
The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish tasted like it was made with real care and quality ingredients. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve.
But what truly made the night special was our server, April. She was attentive without hovering, friendly without being overbearing, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, she kept everything running smoothly, and she made us feel genuinely taken care of. Excellent service like that turns a good dinner into a memorable one.
We will absolutely be back and will definitely ask for April again. Highly recommend!

We had Blackened Mahi Mahi with asparagus and roasted tomatoes topped with mozzarella and bacon, Blackened Snapper with mashed potatoes and gravy and apple sauce , even came with dessert, chocolate peanut butter crumble, all very yummy and our server was very sweet!

We had a fantastic dining experience at CJ Cannon’s! We started with a kids’ meal for our granddaughter — I had a quick taste of the mac & cheese and chunky applesauce. The mac & cheese was smooth and creamy, while the applesauce was full of flavor — truly one of the best I’ve tried.
My wife had a salad with ranch dressing, which she really enjoyed. The ranch had a rich, homemade taste, and the overall salad was fresh and crisp.
The service was exceptional — Paula went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. For the main course, I had the prime rib, which was cooked perfectly and is easily one of the best I’ve had in the area. The stuffed tomato was a unique touch and surprisingly delicious. My wife ordered the flounder stuffed with crab meat and couldn’t stop raving about it — she said it was absolutely out of this world.
CJ Cannon’s truly delivered a memorable meal with great food and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back!

Not only does this restaurant have an outstanding menu but the service is fabulous and the view of the runway is a sweet bonus. My husband liked the fried green tomatoes and patty melt. My sister-in-law liked her patty melt and mac and cheese. My father-in-law’s Colorado burger smelled amazing. My California salad was huge and very tasty. I look forward to returning when we come back to the area.
