Sushi & Salad Stamford
I did ask one of LLM’s about good, valued by customers Japanese restaurant and it came up with a few where Stamford located one was nearest. And there I went.
Solid 5 stars!
The venue – beautifully arranged with large windows where you can admire Stamford’s architecture.
The staff – a bunch of lovely people ruled by very kind and happy manager, who not only welcomed, been chatty and friendly also answered all the questions I’ve had.
The food – it’s hard to judge how authentic the taste would be comparing to Japanese restaurants/street food but by looking at it and having in mind all the pictures from videos I’ve seen it must be 🙂
Hot, colorful, tasty and delicious.
As I’ve seen people coming in all the time I assume it has a good reputation among locals and those who ( like me ) looked the restaurant up.
The only thing I could kindly suggest would be printing new menu cards, as those given were tattered and stained.
In my final words I want to thank the staff and Manager for such a pleasurable visit and also for small unexpected treat, that was so kind, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We recently visited Sushi & Salad in Stamford and were really impressed. The food was absolutely lovely – fresh, full of flavour and beautifully prepared. It’s the best Japanese meal we’ve had in quite a while, and every dish felt carefully made and well thought out. The atmosphere was very nice too, relaxed and welcoming without being too formal, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you’re a fan of Japanese food, this place is definitely worth a visit.

This is my second time visiting Stamford’s S&S restaurant (we regularly go to the Ely one) and we weren’t disappointed. The food is always fresh and of high quality/standard. The atmosphere is good. There are plenty of tables (unlike in Ely) – we were sat upstairs as it was a busy Saturday afternoon. Booking a table may be a challenge as they’re always busy. The service is good but quite slow in terms of getting things, e.g. we asked for the bill and waited 10 minutes then asked another staff and waited another 10 minutes. Other than this, everything was great.

The roast pork bento (rice box) was nicely done. The pork was succulent and the Japanese rice was cooked al dente, the way it should be cooked..though the pork is a bit too sweet. Also a few more pieces of broccoli will be lovely.

Go here regularly when in Stamford as it sooo good. I always go for the vegan options and it they do not disappoint. Lots of great vegan options which is perfect.
