This restaurant never disappoints. Mike was our waiter and made us feel at home,, I even ordered the dish named after him pork chop Mike and was absolutely amazing. From appetizers to dessert couldn’t have asked for more ,,his service couldnt have been any better. We drove one hour to get there so we dont get to dine there that often, but Mike even remembered what I drank. Probably haven’t been there in six months. That shows he cares about his customers amd attention to detail. Seen the other waiter nick,, he remembered us as well and is also a great waiter. Not often you come across a establishment with food and a staff thats top notch.

Didn’t love my food, can’t even say I liked it. I ordered the veal, and it wasn’t tender, it was tough. Most of the food here is usually phemonimal. Not this day. It was definitely disappointing. The appetizers were the best part of the meal. Even dessert was disappointing, the Italian cheesecake was way too watery, almost undercooked.

Came here for a birthday celebration with the family. We got seated in the back because we had a big group and it was crowded. I have to say , you won’t be disappointed. The service was excellent. Very attentive and accommodating. We’ll be returning and adding this place on our list of our favorite restaurants to go. The food was really good. However the baked clams weren’t that great but ill give it the benefit of the doubt . Everything else was really good so Ill give it 5 stars. My girlfriends sicilian father is very very particular about his food since he was born in Sicily. We’ve gone to every italian restaurant in New York. And surprisingly, he liked the food. The only place he likes is lennys in Howard Beach. But this place is right up there with it. So Bravo filomenas!

We hosted my sister’s bridal shower here and it was beyond wonderful. The food was delicious, the service, namely Dylan and Joshua, were so friendly and efficient, and Filomena, who works in the front, was truly a joy to work with. The venue was perfect and all of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how great everything was. I’d absolutely host another event here—they make everything so easy and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Came to celebrate our 7 year wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. The food was old school Italian and it was made right. The ONLY thing I didn’t enjoy was my dide of broccoli raab, the garlic tasted a little burnt and gave it a weird taste. It was the only thing we didn’t finish. Other than that, we absolutely loved the rest of our meal. We didn’t get dessert because we had cake at home, but next time we go we’ll definitely try some.
The service was fantastic, our waiter was attentive and made sure we were enjoying everything and the bar tender made a fantastic martini.
The restaurant ambiance is lovely and it seems to be a go to place for couples and families.
I’m glad we decided to check Filomena’s out, and I look forward to going back again!

Do yourself a favor and order the pillowy gnocchi made by hand (on site), with the two meatballs and short rib! I don’t think I need to say more but I will….there are plenty of Italian restaurants on LI but none are as authentic as this one. We’ve been going to Filomena’s for years and it’s just always on point. The staff is so friendly and attentive….the space is beautiful and has a great vibe…. The food is the star….and they are so accommodating with changes and requests, and allergies, too. I’ve tried so many of their dishes—you just can’t go wrong. They always have great specials to try for people like me who like to order different things. And it’s also a great place for a large family dinner as they have a beautiful private room that hosts larger parties (as those spaces are hard to find!) and it keeps my Italian in-laws happy when we all go together. Can’t say enough good things…oh and the owner is also fantastic—he’s so personable and always makes sure everyone is very well taken care of.

We came here on a Saturday at 6 pm. I understand that I didn’t have reservations but we didn’t feel welcomed. The host simply said I don’t have anything! Not even if you wait I can find something just simple I don’t have anything for the night. In a rude dismissive way. Definitely won’t be spending our money where we’re not welcomed.
