Houston’s never disappoints!! I definitely recommend making a reservation because they often are booked even with a bar area. Customer service is great, food is excellent and the ambiance is very pleasant. Enjoyed celebrating my birthday luncheon!!

I love Houston’s Restaurant. I’ve celebrated many special occasions there, along with hosting business meetings. No matter the reason, my favorite item on the menu will always be the steak.

It honestly saddens me to write this review for our favorite restaurant. We have been going to Houston’s for over 20 years, from Miami to Georgia. My wife and I would always say all about how every bartender knew how to make the perfect drinks, and how the smoked salmon appetizer was the best around; as well as how our favorite bbq ribs with string fries were cooked to perfection with amazing flavors. This time, after not being able to go to Houston’s, we set out on a date lunch. The smoked salmon was as expected, but no less than 3 minutes after it came out, they brought the main course. Why? We had to send it back. The drinks weren’t much to write about and the service was ok. Once we asked for the main course to be brought, the ribs were dry and not as tasty as before. Sadly, the string fries were no longer on the menu because the fries that the ribs came with were thicker. To top it off, they no longer accept cash. Overall, the restaurant we raved about for over 20 years was no more. We will not be returning. There are far better restaurants out there that you can experience for the $160+ we spent that afternoon.

Houston’s on West Paces Ferry remains a fantastic dining destinations in Buckhead. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, from the impeccable service to the delicious menu. A hallmark of their hospitality is the seamless way a martini glass is replaced to ensure each sip remains perfectly chilled—an understated gesture that speaks volumes about their commitment to excellence. The menu is equally distinguished. The Sashimi Tuna Salad has become a true signature, artfully prepared and consistently flawless, while the indulgent brownie provides the perfect finale. With exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and an ambiance that blends sophistication with comfort, Houston’s sets the standard for what a great restaurant should be.

I AM TINA DENISE
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Houston’s. My party arrived and was told there were four parties ahead of us. We were happy to wait and ended up waiting approximately an hour and a half, expecting to be seated at a proper table in the dining room.

After that long wait, we were told we would only be seated at the bar. This was very frustrating, especially considering the amount of time we had already waited. It was my birthday, and I chose Houston’s because I was looking forward to a nice, enjoyable dining experience. Unfortunately, the service and communication fell far short of that expectation.

This is also the second time I have had a negative experience at this location, which makes it even more disappointing. Clearer communication about seating expectations and better management of wait times would have made a significant difference.

I truly hope the restaurant takes guest experience more seriously moving forward, as occasions like birthdays should feel special not stressful.

I’ve been patronizing this particular location since the early 2000’s. One thing I must say is, I enjoyed the food AND the customer service back then much better than now! I ordered the Hawaiian Ribeye that comes with a loaded baked potato, which was pretty good, but the steak use to be more tender. They also use to carry A1 sauce, but they did away with that, because I was told that the chef looks at it as an insult to his craft. Lol! Umm…to each is own, because whether the steak is $10 or $60, I’m still gonna want my sauce! The customer service there is VERY DRY to me…no personalities that stand out in my opinion! We as humans have gotten away from socialization and communication and that is sad, especially in the food industry. Personality, great customer service and good quality food is life!

Houston’s: A Model of Consistency and Excellence

As a plastic surgeon who demands precision and excellence in every detail, I deeply admire how Houston’s in Buckhead delivers flawlessly—every single visit. From the warm, attentive service to the impeccably crafted dishes, this restaurant exemplifies the level of perfection I strive for in my own practice.

Unmatched Hospitality
The staff’s ability to remember regulars and anticipate needs mirrors the personalized care I provide my patients. Whether celebrating a special occasion or enjoying a quiet meal at the bar, you’re treated like family.

My Must-Have Favorites:
Lemon Drop with Hendrick’s Gin – The perfect balance of crisp and refreshing.

Hawaiian Ribeye – Expertly cooked, with just the right marbling.

Decadent Brownie – A rich, indulgent finale.

House Salad with Grilled Chicken – A staple (always order it this way!).

Sashimi Tuna Salad – Fresh, vibrant, and beautifully presented.

Houston’s remains one of Atlanta’s most reliably outstanding dining experiences—highly recommended.

Sincerely,
Dr. Nicholas Jones

My wife and I love Houston’s. I keep telling myself I’m going to try something different on the menu, but always come back for the ribs. It is not hyperbole to say they are fall-off-the-rib tender. And their baked beans are to die for. We always order extra to take home.

My dining standards are unaplogetically high, and Houston’s blows me away with their craveable food and consistent execution. I’ve patronized Houston’s for nearly 3-decades, and they consistently deliver in the best way – elevated food, amazing service, serene atmosphere. Of course they have some unique quirky rules (can’t get grilled chicken on the side for a salad, but you can get rotisserie chicken on the side; some items can be ordered to go, but other’s can’t, etc.) and we ALL wish they’d bring back the chicken tenders, but they’re worth navigating for the reliably delightful Houston’s experience. Kudos to the West Paces location for allowing online reservations – it’s so necessary.
