Sorry to say this, but I’ve had multiple bad experiences here. On my third visit in a row, I tried explaining the issue and the cashier didn’t care at all—she literally said she didn’t care when I mentioned leaving a review. I was told I’d get a free bagel, but got shorted, and smashed bagels were given more than once. Poor service, rude staff, zero accountability. Do not recommend.

The last few times I’ve gone, the staff have messed up my order every single time. I ask for the bagel to not be toasted, and they toast it. I ordered a salt bagel and they gave me an egg bagel. It doesn’t seem like they care about what they’re doing, or their customers. At least the bagels taste good (when they get the order right), but there are better spots in town. Bagel Culture is about 1000% better.

This bagel shop does not feel like it belongs in this community. The service is consistently rude and dismissive, especially when you try to share a concern or explain your experience. On what was likely the busiest morning of the day, there were only a few smashed, irregularly shaped plain bagels left in the basket. I asked politely if a fresh batch was coming soon. Without checking or asking anyone, the girl at the register immediately said no and handed me three of those leftover bagels. I explained that during my last two visits I was also given bagels from the bottom of the basket, and that I’m a regular customer. She showed no interest in listening or addressing the issue. The front-of-house staff do a terrible job, and the overall experience feels careless and unprofessional. This place markets itself as a bagel shop, but the service and quality feel more like a rushed bodega than a business that values its customers or its community.

Always a solid experience here. The bagels range from very good to excellent. I think it depends on who is making them that morning, but I often get deep brown crispy shelled bagels with light, fluffy interiors with good chew–the way they should be. They have olive cream cheese, my favorite, and my husband likes their hot bagel sandwiches. The staff is pretty good, a little slow sometimes and not always super friendly, but my order is always correct. It’s a busy place. The interior is clean and organized. There are a lot of options in the area, and some are cheaper, but I’ll keep coming back here for the high quality bagels.

Since the change ownership a few years ago, this place has gone downhill. I live around the corner, so I really want to like this establishment. I have given them a couple of years to settle in and work out the kinks in the operation.
I am now done giving them the benefit of the doubt. This place fails both in terms of quality of food and service. The bagels are just OK at best, often undercooked or stale. The breakfast sandwiches are not cooked properly – overcooked eggs and rubber bacon. And lastly the service is an absolute embarrassment. I get the place is often crowded on a weekend, but get your act together and figure out how to operate. Food is prepared then sits around while they figure out payment logistics. Orders are messed up far too often (1 in 10 is expected, but 1 in 2 orders, come on!).

The bagels here are OK. The spreads are pretty good. Some are better than others. You can be guaranteed that 50% of the time when you order something, there will be a mistake in the order. Edit: I ordered ONE sandwich this morning and they still go it wrong. These people are inept. Going to bagel culture from now on. It’s a longer drive, but the convenience is not worth the frustration at goldberg’s.

Recently started coming here whenever I am in the mood for bagels even if it is a 15 minute drive passing other bagel stores. I usually get the pastrami and egg on a toasted everything which has always been a great experience. So far they have been attentive with custom orders and not putting cheese on my sandwiches.
