The atmosphere at the restaurant is excellent. The service was top notch. Steaks were very good and cooked perfectly, which is surprisingly uncommon. Bone marrow was done perfectly and was a very good sized portion. The sides were only ok. Cauliflower was a bit watery, roasted mushrooms overly salted, Mac and cheese plain. Carrot cake for dessert was top notch. I would definitely go again and do recommend the restaurant.

Have been there multiple times and have always had the 8oz wood-grilled filet mignon cooked medium rare. It is normally one of tastiest, most tender filets I have had for the price. However, my most recent visit, the filet came out rare. After discussing with the staff, they sincerely apologized and made it right. I feel this was a fluke or a new chef having an off night because otherwise, the food, service, and atmosphere here are outstanding!

Had an amazing dinner at Gibbet Hill Grill the other night. The food was absolutely amazing. The veal was probably the best I’ve had. The bolognese was exquisite and well worth having as well. The Caesar’s Salad was excellent as well as the cheesecake and carrot cake. The service was also just tremendous and the facility was well maintained and quite nice as well. I can highly recommend and will be visiting again soon.

To the couples that paid for my Thanksgiving dinner without telling me this afternoon: Thank you so soooo much!!! ❤️❤️I didn’t even know your names. But what you did was so kind and heartwarming. You guys really made my day. Hope you two had a wonderful rest of your day as well!

I was going through a tough time. And a walk and a meal at the Gibbet Hill made me feel warm and alive again. The food and service here were great. People are SO caring and cute here. Would come back again

I was told it was the best he’s ever had.10-year punch. Jennie & I both thought it was very good and well-balanced. Aviation Fizz was pretty good and well balanced.Castle & Key G&T was mixed stronger than I feel it should have been, primarily because of the prominent anise in the gin.
** NOTE: They carry a nice array of gins. **

While I don’t eat crab dip, Jennie & her folks said it was fantastic. I ate a few of the toasts that came with it, thoroughly enjoying them.

I had the sirloin tips with sides mashed Yukon & roasted parsnip & cranberry. The tips were prepared medium-well, cooked to perfection. While they were definitely very good, I did feel they were missing a pinch of something. They needed just a hint more flavor. The Yukon mashed potatoes were good, but basically what you’d expect for mashed potatoes in a restaurant such as this. The parsnip with cranberries were an interesting offering. I was very glad I chose them.

Jennie ordered the Crispy Potato-Crusted Haddock, which was served on a “bed” of corn chowder. I had a few bites and thoroughly enjoyed them. Jennie, days later, is still raving that this was the best corn chowder she’s ever had. The haddock was also excellent. The pairing of the two could almost be called “genius”!

My MIL ordered the side of Mashed Yukon… then added the Pot Pie to her order 10 minutes later. I only had a pinch of the crust, finding it to be very fluffy, but with a pleasant density. She really enjoyed the pot pie, and would definitely recommend it. She enjoyed it for the following two days!

My FIL had the Porterhouse. I was a sizable (24oz) cut. He clearly enjoyed the steak, also for a couple extra days. He has continued to mention how great it was.

Our server, Erica, was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu.

Overall, we would definitely recommend giving the Gibbet Hill Grill a try. The setting and ambience was wonderful, the staff were all great, as were our meals and beverages. The portions were also perfect. You get your dollars’-worth here.

Side note: MAKE RESERVATIONS!! Our reservations were for 5:00pm. Upon arrival at 4:45, the parking lot and the restaurant were packed!

Gibbet Hill Grill delivers food that mostly lives up to its higher-end pricing. The Porterhouse was cooked perfectly and the wine au jus was absolutely fantastic; easily the highlight of the meal. The Simple Greens salad had good potential, but the ranch dressing missed the mark, tasting more like a watery dill dressing than classic ranch. Aside from that small letdown, the overall quality of the food was solid. If you’re going for a well-prepared steak and a nice dining experience, this place is definitely worth it.

Also, our waitress Katie was awesome. Super friendly, and very helpful with recommendations. Definitely recommend her as your waitress.

I had the potato encrusted haddock in a sweet corn and smoked bacon chowder. I don’t have words to describe how wonderful it tastes. Caeser salad on point. Dalliance the cocktail perfect and dessert. I tear up thinking about it. My first time wont be my last.

Stopped in for lunch after visiting Gibbet Hill and Bancroft Castle. The place is beautiful. The food was delicious. And the service was wonderful. Visited on a late summer afternoon. The view of the pastures from the windows was really nice. I hope to return and enjoy meals while viewing fall foliage and snow in the winter.

This spot is perfect no matter who you’re with — date night, a girls’ or guys’ night out, or even a family outing with kids. Seriously, everyone can enjoy it! The food is consistently good, and one thing I especially loved was the chowder — it wasn’t too thick, and the flavor was just spot-on. Everything else we tried was tasty too, and the portions are satisfying without being over the top. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, so it’s easy to feel comfortable whether you’re out with friends, family, or a special someone. The staff is friendly and helpful, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. It’s one of those places that just works for any kind of outing. Honestly, just give it a try — great food, good vibes, and something for everyone.

Came on a weekday to celebrate a birthday. This place is great. The farm is gorgeous, the barn/restaurant is beautiful and the food and staff are excellent.
We had the NY Sirloin and potato encrusted haddock. Both prepared beautifully. The cheese cake was a nice small portion and complemented the meal.
This place seems very busy so get a reservation!
