Delicious chicken! Highly recommended. We tried the ribs and they weren’t our favorite. A little tough but the sauce was good. Fries are yummy! Nice outdoor sitting area but it was a bit too chilly.

If there was a way to give more than 5 stars I most definitely would!!!! The food and atmosphere of The Horny Toad is by far one of the best experiences I have had at a restaurant!!! The food in this quiet rustic Arizona spot is top tier!!! Needs to belong on everyone’s bucket list! Come enjoy some of the most delicious fried chicken your Grandma can’t even compete with!!!
Tonight we got served by Alex our waiter and he definitely delivered! Every single team member you meet here brings a positive attitude and an all around good vibe that is just out of this world and makes you feel so blessed and grateful to be able to eat at such a fine establishment!!!!

My brother and I ate here for dinner after we went riding. I had the fried fish and he had the brisket quesadilla. Both were delicious! I highly recommend the fried cod. Service was great and bathrooms were clean. I would definitely eat here again next time I’m in town.

So, I read online that this place operated a Christmas Store year round. Imagine my disappointment to find that it is no longer there I drove quite a distance so we made the most of it and had lunch. Cheese Curds were excellent, the BBQ for 2 was Ok. Chicken was really good the pulled pork and ribs were only OK. You really need to change online info- even AI says you have a Christmas Store ….bummer

What an eclectic restaurant in Cave Creek just a little north of Scottsdale!!!
We had excellent service with our server, Lilly, and the food was to die for.
Lilly was on top of it and brought us drinks, utensils, napkins quickly and without us asking as well. Great service! Love her!
They have daily specials.
Tonight, we had the taco Tuesday special, which offered a $3 margarita or Dos Equis beer with the order of the taco entree.
We also ordered the onion rings & loaded potato skins for the appetizer. The onion rings were not too oily, and we loved it. The potato skins were definitely FULLY LOADED!!! We needed extra sour cream just because we love sour cream, and that was brought to us with no extra charge
We ordered the brisket and fish tacos. I personally loved the brisket tacos and told my dinner dates that I would order the brisket entree next time. Yes, it was THAT good. We also ordered their famous fried chicken. Wow, it was so crispy!!! So, so good!
For dessert, we ordered the apple cobbler with cinnamon swirl ice cream. Whoa – it was really good! Would eat that again! Definitely need to go with people so you can eat more of a variety!!! I loved all of it and wished my stomach was larger to be able to eat more!
Would highly recommend going a little out of the beaten path to go to The Horny Toad!!!

This has an old west, casual feel – we loved all the inside and outside signs and decor that add to the ambience. We had a great server, who was very attentive.
Food was ok, we tried the sampler appetizer, the fish n chips (cod and French fries), the ribs, and the taco salad. It was good, just nothing special.
There was live music, which sounded really great, but we were with a couple we wanted to visit with and didn’t want to compete with the music. They had options to sit with the live music area or in a separate dining room, great to have options!

Gordon Ramsey just lost a star to the Horny Toad. Sorry Gordo but this place serves up home cooking that would send the most refined chef back to the kitchen with that “why can’t I” look on his face. A 30 minute Harley ride outside of Scottsdale you’ll find this gem in a beautiful little eclectic western themed town. Get an iced tea or cold beer, you’ll need it so close to the sun. When the waitress walks up just say it. I’ll have the fried chicken and yes please to all the sides.
If God himself showed up tomorrow and asked for a fried chicken dinner I’d put him on a Harley and bring him straight here. Eat well my friends!!

Yum, stopped in from a road teip and they accommodated us. Wish the patio had some heat but other than that. The chicken bone in was good and the Mac and cheese was good too

Our server was rude. Their drink menu had no prices and I had to ask how much specific beer cost. She also said we never ordered an appetizer when we did! It never showed up. My companion’s burger was raw. I had also asked for additional orange slices I never received for my beer. We asked to speak to a manager and one came over. Instead of being humble and listening to our issues, they were curt. The owner came out and didn’t offer to take any food off of the bill but gave us a $20 gift card that had an expiration date of 1/1/2025!!! When confronted with the insult they said they honor them anyway! Imagine if we would have gone home and saw that! They didn’t even point it out when they gave it to us. NEVER AGAIN! Don’t waste your money.
