Hailing from magical Mazatlan, Mexico, Ruben and Maricela know something about Tacos al Carbon. They started grilling scrumptious tacos for their family and neighbors in 2005. Word spread about their creations and more and more people came as the legend of their tacos grew. Soon people started following them to stranger’s backyards just to get some of the delicious food off the grill. Our recipe for success is always fresh ingredients and our mesquite grill. It’s a combo that gives us the authentic taste of Tacos al Carbon. We keep our menu simple because we only offer what we do best. Come by, grab some tacos and a Mexican Coke and relax in our yard!

The restaurant is clean, offer tables for large groups, the staff is friendly and they have a really nice salsa bar. They offer a variety of food items from tacos, quesadillas, grilled tostadas, gorditas, burritos, bowls, crazy potatoes, family packs and more.

We ordered bowls instead of tacos. Same thing without the tortillas and with rice and beans. The portion was great. Service was friendly. Just keep in mind this is counter order and they announce when your order number is ready. Only suggestion is they should clean the tables more frequently. There were plenty open but only one was clean enough to use.

Like fancy mexican food through the drive thru window. So tastie I’m definitely, making this my new favorite place and it’s reasonable too. Folks are super friendly. Also side note: do not for any reason forget chips and salsa is a fabulous salsa, you’ll be glad you did.

The place smells amazing as soon as you walk it. There’s a toppings bar for your tacos. No one told us about the toppings bar, we stumbled into it. We’re not local so we had no idea. It was terrific. The Birria was terrific. The carne asada quesadilla was excellent. The al pastor meat was a little dry. It also needed a little more pineapple, but it was still good. I wish we had one in our backyard.

If you are looking for vegan options, you have togo somewhere else. Unfiltered az water out of tap that tastes like dirt. Tacos are very small and do not look anything like the pictures. They do taste good, but small. Huge chunks of onions in the food.

It was definitely an Allright experience, but the cashier didn’t get our order right, I didn’t want to return it. The cashier i felt he was kind of sarcastic when he was taking my order because i have an energy drink on me. I don’t know. Maybe i come back to give it a try one more time, maybe not. Still, i give it 4 stars for the food.
