The manager Roberto was also very professional & kind. They train their staff very well.
We were very impressed & will return again soon.
Would like to mention Christian too since he was our 1st waiter & he was very good as well.
Everyone raved about the friendly and genuine service, the excellent cuisine, the variety of custom menu choices including veg. options and the attention to detail and timing as it was a surprise:)
I can’t say enough, other than to highly recommend this as a consideration to others looking to book a private event.
We will definitely be back.
Thanks Roberto and please extend or sincere appreciation to all who made our night special.
From the moment we walked in, it felt like coming home. The space is always warm and inviting, and honestly, there’s never a bad table in the house. We were seated within a minute, greeted with genuine hospitality and nothing but smiles. Even staff members just passing by our table made eye contact and acknowledged us that kind of attentiveness says everything about the culture here.
Our incredible server, Dani, introduced herself with the kindest tone and a bright smile. She was knowledgeable, confident, and engaging throughout the entire evening… you can tell she truly knows her menu and takes pride in what she does.
We started with a couple glasses of Pinot Grigio (our favorite), and ordered the Pizzette Mortadella .. topped with mortadella, stracciatella, pistachio and pesto. It was hot, airy, and perfectly crisp on the outside. The dough had that beautiful light chew with a delicate crunch. And the pesto? Outstanding. I’m not usually a big pesto fan but this was creamy, balanced and absolutely blew us away.
For mains, Star ordered the Lobster Pappardelle with blush sauce, shrimp, and jumbo sea scallops and it was pure indulgence. Generous pieces of tender lobster folded into silky ribbons of pasta, coated in a delicate blush sauce that was rich without overpowering. The shrimp were plump…the scallops perfectly seared, and every bite tasted luxurious and thoughtfully composed.
I ordered the Mafalde Ragu di Funghi and I can confidently say it’s a must-order. The mafaldine noodles those beautiful ribbon-like strands with ruffled edges held onto the earthy ragu perfectly. Wild mushrooms layered deep, savory flavor into every bite, complemented by a silky beef demi-glaze, crema, and fresh thyme. It was creamy, earthy, and profoundly satisfying.. the kind of dish you slow down for because you don’t want it to end.
After dinner, Roberto, the manager, was making his way around the dining room.. engaging with guests, quarterbacking his team and ensuring everything ran flawlessly. That leadership presence is noticeable and clearly sets the tone. He stopped by our table with warmth and kindness and generously treated us to their heavenly Spago Millefoglie Sfoglia.. crisp, delicate layers of perfectly baked puff pastry filled with mousseline cream, fresh raspberries, and crème anglaise. It was light, balanced, and absolutely spectacular. A limoncello to finish was the perfect touch.
What stands out every single time is the hospitality. The smiles. The attentiveness. The engagement. Dani was exceptional, Roberto leads with grace, and the entire team reflects that energy.
Spago on Dougall continues to deliver at the highest level. We’ll be back.. again and again.
