We visited this restaurant and were disappointed with both the service and the attitude of the management. I ordered a drink called Pineapple Splasher, which was supposed to come with fresh pineapple and strawberries (as shown in the promotional photo on every table). After waiting quite a while, our drinks and coffee finally arrived — but the Pineapple Splasher was just plain lemonade with no fruit at all.
When I asked the server about the missing fruit, she simply replied, “We don’t have it.” No apology, no explanation.
Then our food came, and when she asked if everything was okay, I mentioned again that the drink didn’t come as advertised. I also asked about the red syrup that usually comes with the crepes I ordered (according to what I’ve had before and the photos). She insisted it doesn’t come with syrup.
At that moment, the manager — who was nearby and overheard the conversation — came to the table. I explained the situation again: why wasn’t I told when I ordered the drink that the fruit wasn’t available? I could’ve chosen something else. Instead, they brought it to the table without saying a word. His only response was, “There’s no fruit.” No apology or effort to make things right.
I asked how a large restaurant like this could run out of fruit, especially when it’s used in drinks and desserts. He said the delivery truck would arrive the next day. I also questioned why there was fruit for the strawberry crepes I ordered but not for the drink — again, no clear answer. He also confirmed the crepes don’t come with the syrup, and that was it — no offer to bring anything extra or to compensate for the poor experience.
One of the other servers kindly apologized, but honestly, the manager should’ve been the one to handle the situation properly. The issue itself wasn’t huge — but the lack of transparency and the manager’s dismissive attitude were really disappointing.
great service. Told ya we’d be back. Had dinner this time.
ORIGINAL: Jimmy was our server and he was great! From front door to seating to food being served was under 15 minutes. This was on a Sunday morning and the place was busy, so we were duly impressed and will definitely be back!
Our server, Alyssa, was absolutely wonderful. I noticed a table nearby that left early, right before their food was about to arrive. They were impatient and even said negative things about Alyssa, which honestly didn’t sit right with me, because from what I saw, she was working incredibly hard to serve everyone with kindness and professionalism.
When we were seated, Alyssa greeted us warmly and made sure everything came out quickly, fresh, and just the way we ordered it. You could tell she truly cares about her job and her customers. My Cali Roasted Turkey Melt was phenomenal, and my entire family enjoyed their meals too.
Even though some customers left early and tried to bring her mood down, we made sure to brighten her day instead, we gave her an extra tip and thanked her for such great service. Every time we’ve come back since (usually once or twice a month), Alyssa always stops by to check on us and make sure we’re doing well. That really means a lot.
IHOP should be proud to have a server like Alyssa. If you’re reading this, please give her a shoutout. She truly makes the IHOP experience better every time.
Clean tables, friendly staff, and amazing food.
Thank you, IHOP, for always making our visits feel like home.
Thank you all very much.
Since this location opened, I have been here twice, and each time has been a disappointment. I figured the YEARS in between each visit, the food and managerial support would’ve improved.
Caveat: What happened to serving warm syrup upon request?
