A group of 4 of us stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. It was pretty crowded but there was still a lot of seating available outside. It was about 84F but since there are lots of trees, it didn’t feel hot. They have TV’s on so you can watch your favorite sports. My wife and I had the loaded Queso and chips, Beer venison chili and Gumbo and all of it was very good. We also had some drinks. The Hefeweizen I had was really good. The couple we were with brought their dog and there were lots of other dogs there. Our server was great, she was happy and seemed to be enjoying her job. I would dine here again and recommend this place. The bill for four of us was $122 before tip.

Such a cool spot with the amazing bbq aroma before you even walk in the door. TVs everywhere for sports and a cool outside area with fire pits. I enjoyed my chili cheese dog and spicy creamed corn. I’d definitely go again.

One of my favorite places to eat outside. They have a huge outdoor area covered under the shade of trees and lights. The food is always delicious and hot. I always get the loaded cheese fries to start, and the charro beans as a side. The wait staff is very attentive. It is also dog friendly. The atmosphere is family friendly and my husband enjoys watching sports on the outdoor tvs.

First time here and I am definitely putting this place on my return to list. This is a great place to watch your favorite team, and bring a few friends. The food was great, and the margarita is strong!
Our server was awesome, funny, and very knowledgeable. I will be back, meet you there!

Katy Trail Outpost in Plano has great vibes — fun atmosphere, friendly service, and a solid place to kick back with friends. The energy here is definitely a highlight.

As someone from Louisiana with pretty high standards for gumbo, I’ve got to say — theirs was actually pretty good. Good flavor, nice consistency… but $11 for a small cup is wild. And honestly, most of the menu feels on the high side price-wise.

Still, if you don’t mind paying a little extra for the atmosphere and a good time, it’s worth checking out.

Most expensive bar food ever.
Was recommended this place by my hair stylist who is located nearby. After watching the renovations for months, decided to go early on a Saturday since I’d heard it got super busy. It wasn’t bad and we found parking and walked right to a table. Got our food quickly. I had heard it was a bit pricey and that was the truth!
$16 for 6 nachos. Calling them nachos was a stretch, more like chips with toppings. My daughter got the Caesar salad which she liked. My husband got the Waygu slice plate and said it was the most grisly, unseasoned BBQ he had ever tasted. Same went for creamed corn and German mashed potatoes.
Very disappointed and won’t be back. Not sure if food was better and less pricey before they renovated but it wasn’t great after. It is cute and the outdoor section seems fun but the food is not worth it.

Came in on a Tuesday night and saw the sign that said, “please seat yourself,” so I grabbed a table. 5 minutes later, a manager came over and told me that area was closed for a private event so I’d have to find a seat elsewhere. I told him no problem, and said I’m fine with a table anywhere outside. He then told me I was next up but… it’s first come first serve, so I have to find one. I looked around and said, “Ok, seems like I’m first. How can I lock up the next bussed table?” I was then told they’re short on bussers, so “I kind of just have to sit down when someone gets up.”

So, a table of 5 got up and I asked a server if I could grab that table. She said yes and directed me to stand next to it and a busser would be over to clear it in a moment. 10 minutes later, my wife and son arrived, and still no busser.

So we stood there for another 10 minutes and asked another server if someone would be over to clear the dirty dishes and old food any time soon. She told me, “Oh you just gotta push that off to the side and grab a seat.” I thought she was joking and just kind of stared. She then said, “Sorry, our dishwasher is suing us and it’s a crazy day. Here, I’ll help you,” and proceeded to grab a few of the dishes she could carry. Another 10 minutes and still no one to clear the rest of the food from the table. So since the sun set in the 40 minutes that I waited, we left and went to a burger joint down the road.

I feel a bit weird writing this, as I normally only write Google reviews to recognize great service and commend local business. But… this was too wild not to document. I’ve been a server, bartender, bouncer, and manager. Any one of my bosses would’ve roundhouse kicked me in the face if I’d ever told a guest to buss their own table and have a seat. That’s before even talking about the lack of host/hostess, seating chart, “section closed” sign, or management presence.

Abso. Lutely. Wild.

Katy Trail ~ we love you but the new fries and ketchup are not ok. The $2.00 side of ranch also not ok. The previous fries were superior. Please bring them back!

If you are going to Auto Grat a $600 tab (really any tab) you should most definitely tell your table you’re doing that. It is extremely shady to keep that from your customers. You know what you’re doing. On top of that, if a server has that in their back pocket it gives them every reason to give crap service because they know they will get 20%. We got both of these thrown at us. I understand Auto grat to a certain extend because well ppl suck, but don’t take advantage of ppl. Almost tipped an extra $120 for crap service. Food was surprisingly really good. I’ll give them that.

Great environment! You can choose to eat indoor or outdoor. Great variety of food, too. You can also bring along your best friend, dogs are welcome. Definitely a lot of food. It is like 2 meals in one.
