Went to grab lunch at Mi Cocina while on our lunch break and I just have to recognize Gene our waiter! He was incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. He has such a natural customer service presence, you can truly tell he enjoys what he does. He checked on us at the perfect times, made sure everything came out in a timely manner, and created such a smooth pleasant dining experience.
Our foods was fresh and delicious but the outstanding service is what made it even better. It’s always refreshing to receive service from someone who takes pride in their work.
A huge thank you to Gene, for making our lunch so enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

Ribeye at a Tex-Mex restaurant sounded like a gamble. My friends doubted it. I ordered it anyway.
The RIBEYE AL CARBON proved them wrong. The steak was smoky, tender, and full of rich, char-grilled flavor with perfect seasoning. Each bite melted in my mouth and paired beautifully with the arroz, bean soup, guacamole, pico de gallo, and salsa de arbol.
Then came the MAMBO TAXI®, a frozen margarita mixed with Sauza Blanco and house-made sangria. Smooth, refreshing, and the perfect balance of tart and sweet. It was bold, cold, and easy to love.
Mi Cocina surprised us all. Great food, warm service, and a ribeye I’ll be craving again soon. Highly recommend.

We had a table of 7, there was ample seating where we could all talk together comfortably. The food and drinks were good. The music level was low enough so that we could talk. The servers were great from beginning to end! Thanks for a lovely evening!

My daughters and I ate at Mi Cocina Chapel Hill last night and had the best waiter! When you visit ask for Gene! He was quick to notice my margarita wasn’t completely set and had it replaced in a jiffy! He also was very patient with my kiddos and talked to the about Girl Scout cookie season (we had just finished selling cookies for the night). I highly recommend him!

We had a surprise party for my mothers 75th birthday. We showed up with a party of 12 and they immediately got a table prepared for us. They gifted us with the most amazing waiter, GENE! He was hands down one of the best waiters I have had in my life. He was kind, professional, patient and just all around perfect! Gene helped make this surprise party absolutely wonderful!

Had a challenging morning and met my bestie at MiCocina Chapel Hill for lunch. Gene met us with a smile, drinks promptly and quickly took our orders. Everything was great, I’m Gluten Allergic and had Locos Nachos and did fine. Really great, thanks so much….we’ll be back!!

Hulen and I-30 location is my go to for amazing lunch and dinner. I am a regular and David is AMAZING and my usual server. He always makes me feel important and because I’m a regular he knows what I love to eat and drink every time I visit. Highly recommend David!!! The entire staff and management are great go out of their way to make sure you are always taken care of.
