If you’re a seafood lover, this place is for you! Thoroughly loved the food in here. Every ingredient was handled with care and cooked to perfection. The service was excellent and the seating is very comfortable too. Will definitely visit again!

We tried to come here on a Saturday night during Jazz Festival, but that was impossible. So we made reservations for Sunday night at 7:30. We arrived right on time. We waited a few minutes while they cleaned our table for us. They were PACKED!

There were a lot of items on the menu that I wanted to try. The scallops, the mussels, the crab legs, the lobster. I settled on the baked crab legs. My husband ordered the main mussels for his meal. He ordered a Spanish red wine. He loved the wine! It was excellent. The mussels are a very large portion, he gave the portion an “A”. But the mussels themselves were a “B-“. Not the best he’s had. The sauce was unfortunately a “C”. Usually when you order mussels the sauce is the best part of the dish, but this was not the case. First, there was very little sauce. Second, it had a weird flavor to it. I tried it and I did not like it at all. So, he was pretty disappointed with his meal overall.

The crabs were excellent! Five stars for the crabs, the sauce, and the bread! They came out very hot, so I peeled all of the meat out of the claws while it cooled down. I dipped the bread in the sauce. It was delicious! I ordered a Sauvignon blanc with my meal. It was ok. Not my favorite.

Our server was nice. They were super busy so there were a few issues- like nothing to clean our hands with after handling the buttery shells and claws. I also thought that I should have had a small tine fork to get the meat out of the crab claws. But, again, the service was good.

Altogether our bill was about €76.

We would return. I’d like to try the scallops or lobster and my husband wishes he had ordered the seafood linguine instead.

I usually feel hesitant about going to highly rated places in touristy areas, but this one was incredible. The seafood chowder was perfect, and the sea bass was unbelievably good.

This restaurant definitely gets a passing grade from me, special thanks to the Efe, for the great attention and service.

Everything was great but just quite pricey. We ordered calamari and seafood chowder for appetizer, I’d say small serving for the price but very good quality. For the mains I ordered fresh rigatoni pasta and it was delightful. A bit heavy because of the sauce but very flavorful.

Love this place. My seafood-shellfish-loving family can’t wait for our regular audits to Quinlans. Every visit increases our love of the food. Prebooking is advised to avoid disappointment.

Drink was ok, seafood chowder was very watery, the main dish nothing special, was also ok, but the service was very good.
I don’t know if the food wasn’t good because the employees shift was finishing but I was a nice try.
Bill was 100€ for 2ppl

Lovely interior and amazing food. The best tuna steak we ever had, the hake was wonderful and sticky toffee pudding was the perfect end of this lunch. 10/10

This was my second visit to Quinlans Seafood Bar in Cork City. I ordered the scallops for a starter. I was actually skeptical about the pear sauce but pleasantly surprised how well it complimented the dish. The fish wasn’t anything special I’ve had better. It’s served with a small coup of bland mushy peas and chips. It was disappointing after having such a good start. Also the chips needed to be cooked longer and the mixed hard tiny pieces didn’t need to be plated. The service was fine but had to ask for the bill. The design of the restaurant is open concept that could be loud at times making conversations difficult to hear.
