I adore Sue’s. It’s a classic example of a homey small town restaurant that doesn’t try to be anything flashy but has a fantastically friendly atmosphere from staff and patrons alike and of course, makes great food.

Old school diner in Rising Sun. Get old-time breakfast for old-time prices. While you wait for the food, sweet older patrons come by for a chat. The waitresses like to chat, too, (especially with each other) so don’t go if you’re in a hurry. But if you want old-fashioned, small-town diner experience, it is awesome. Cash only.

I really prefer to patronize local small businesses but you need to avoid this place like the plague I have been there for breakfast three times and every time either the service is extremely poor or the food is not prepared properly the first time the orange juice was sour the second time they didn’t bring us any toast with our breakfasts that came with two eggs to meet two pieces of toast. Then we had to wait 10 minutes more after we finally flag down the waitress and by the time we got it are eggs were cold . the third time it took them over 40 minutes to get our breakfast and there was only one other couple in the place, and after we had finished our meal it took another 20 minutes for the waitress to give us our check she was busily engaged in a long conversation with another older gentleman !

I like small towns, but Rising Sun Maryland doesnt really hit that note for me like other places do. This is a really back-o-beyond location but if you’re in to no frills Sue’s Resturant is the spot for you.

Very nice place, my wife and I were walking around town and happened to find this place. Cash only so if you decide to go no cards. The food was very tasty and prices that were comparable to fast food but better tasting. Highly recommended.

It is all home cooking at it’s best. Great service, reasonably priced, and very homey atmosphere. The pies are fantastic!!! I have never gotten a bad meal there.

The prices are great, the food is really good, and they have a good variety of menu items to pick from, from their lunch menu! It is in a small building so it doesn’t have a roomy feel to it, but it works being the amount of customers they have at a single time.

Very good breakfast. They do need to get a credit card machine so that they can start to take check/debit cards. Other than that it was great.
