A Cash Crit
I’m sad to have to leave a 3 star review but I’m pretty sure they gave me food poisoning or something that I have an intolerance to. Went there with my husband and 2 kids for the first time last night. My husband got the catfish plate, my daughter got chicken tenders and my son got hot wings. All of that was great and looked fabulous! I ordered the only steak on the menu with garlic mashed potatoes & broccoli. It looked fabulous & it tasted even better. I mean I was so happy with this plate!!
Our waitress was super accommodating & really great too! Unfortunately when we left I only made it about a mile up the road before I ended up in the Burlington coat factories bathroom puking my absolute guts out. Every last bite of my dinner came out. I wasn’t sure what was wrong but I felt a lot better after getting it out so we went home. I ate a couple chocolate chip cookies and drank a cup of coffee and that was fine on my stomach. So I had a to-go plate with half of my steak & sides still left & at around 1:00am I was really hungry so I decided to heat up just the steak with some bland scrambled eggs and eat that. Figuring maybe it was one of the side dishes that made me sick Because I do get very ill whenever I consume cheese and I thought maybe there may have been some cheese in the mashed potatoes even though I relayed this info to my server & she actually brought me new broccoli because they had put cheese on the broccoli the first time. Anywho, I got about five bites into the steak and I start feeling queasy in my stomach again. Puked it all up 5 minutes later. I think they need to check their steaks or something in the kitchen.. idk. everything else I ate after that caused absolutely no issues but that delicious tasting steak made me vomit twice. Do with that information what you will. I definitely would never order the steak, mashed potatoes or broccoli from there again.
I’m disappointed too because I was so happy in the restaurant & even took pictures planning on leaving an excellent review but then that happened. ♀️

Always a great time at Walk Ons! Definitely the place to be if you want some good cajun food but can’t take a trip to LA. We had the Catfish Orleans and the Boom Boom Shrimp. 10/10 for both! Both are great fried or blackened! We shared a cup of crawfish étouffée to have a little extra if we needed more after the Catfish Orleans. Everyone should try the Alligator Bites as a starter! Definitely an experience, and great flavor! And to end the night—beignets! We appreciated our server, Markia, who consistently checked on us and made sure everything got out to us in a timely manner and it was still HOT! Definitely a good date night!

At here a few weeks ago. Good service and nice atmosphere. I had catfish strips which were a bigger portion size than I expected. Strawberry lemonade was the best I’ve had.

Talk about an excellent and personable dining experience from Aysia D!! I asked how the fried gator was and she recommended me trying it because, “it tastes like chicken”. Turned out, it tasted way better than chicken! Being a New Orleans native, I had to try the catfish platter and it was really good and had a surprisingly large portion! Thanks Walk-ons for the great food and thanks Aysia for the great experience!

Went for a To- Go Order my favorite Meal of the Day and met the Cashier “Dajah” who had the most wonderful Spirit and helped kindly with placing my order. My food was neatly prepared and they also have a small fun section games for kids.

The celebration was on January 23. It was a office employee birthday celebration for me and another lady at my office. During the visit one of my co-employees spilled her tea all over me. The staff at Walk-Ons were kind, respectful, and willing to assist me. Aysia D our serving went over and above her duty with accomodations for not just the incident but also to remove some onions from my dish because I’m allergic to them. The dish was perfect. Thank you for making the day better.

Aysia was an amazing server. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything we needed was taken care of without us having to ask. She kept a great attitude the whole time and really helped make the experience enjoyable. Definitely one of the reasons I’d come back.

Great experience at Walk-On’s! The Catfish Orleans and Boom Boom Shrimp were both a 10/10 with amazing flavor, Thanks to Tramaine Steele!!! We also tried the crawfish étouffée—so good! Don’t skip the Alligator Bites, and the beignets were the perfect finish. Shoutout to our server, Markia, for great service and hot food. Fun date-night spot—we’ll definitely be back!
