My family and I visited this restaurant as a after Valentines day treat! Our wait time was an hour because it was very busy. We were served by a waiter named Paul and although our group were six people, he served us with ease, patience, and attention to details. I ordered a Ceasars salad and shrimp Alfredo. I ordered the small plate and that was just enough food for me to finish everything and not bring home any leftovers, although we received an order of Bang-bang shrimp complementary from the kitchen at the end. Not sure why, but that’s what happened. All-in-all, we had a good time and would visit again.

From start to finish, our experience at Half Shell Oyster House was absolutely wonderful. My wife Kelly and I had the fried catfish with cheese grits and the sweet potato casserole, and everything was bursting with flavor. The catfish was golden and crispy, the grits were creamy and rich, and the sweet potato casserole was just the perfect touch of sweetness.
For drinks, I went with the Watermelon Splash — so refreshing and smooth — while Kelly enjoyed a Cosmo that she said was spot-on. Both were crafted perfectly.
And I can’t forget to mention our server — she was off the chain! Friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The kind of service that makes a great meal even better.
The food, drinks, and service all came together for a five-star experience. Half Shell Oyster House has definitely earned a top spot on our list, and we’ll be back soon. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I stopped for lunch and enjoyed the food and service so much I went back for dinner. The wait staff for lunch was great and demonstrated great teamwork to support each other and their patrons. I was lucky enough to have Paul as my server for dinner. Again, the food was excellent, and Paul’s service was perfect – entree immediately after soup and drink refills without having to ask. The atmosphere is comfortable and conducive to socializing. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Omg I wish we would have tried this place sooner. This was restaurant day number 3 of not having a stove and having to go out for dinner. The food was absolutely amazing. The oysters were fresh and out of this world. We ordered the shrimp and grits and they were mouth watering . The entire staff was wonderful and we loved the atmosphere. We didn’t feel rushed when in was closing time, and our waitress made sure that our drinks were filled . She was very professional, attentive, and went above and beyond for us.

Everything was good, broccoli was hard, however, the rest of the food, and service was quick and excellent. Would I ever come back? I sure will. The espresso martini was on point, not too strong, but not too sweet.

I do not usually do reviews but felt compelled to give one after my visit today for dinner. I was meeting a friend that was already sitting at the bar & had already gotten an appetizer. I sat down & yes they were busy but no one said anything to me for quite some time. After almost half an hour I had to get someone’s attention to order a drink. I did ask for a glass of water in addition to my cocktail which I never received. Once again we had to get someone’s attention to ask of we could order our food and the same on getting a second drink. I WAS happy with the taste & quality of the food i ordered. No complaints there. Overall though with the service being so poor I will never come back. The staff at the bar did not go out of their way whatsoever to make sure we were taken care of & actually came across that we were inconviencing them. If you have good food but lousy service people are not going to come back. Maybe it was just an off night but I will go somewhere else next time.

Since being in Mississippi the first place I ate was here. I love raw oysters, and this order of 14 hit the spot. The crab claws were alright today but usually they are *chef’s kiss*. Love a well made lemon drop or mimosa. Highly recommend if you enjoy seafood, pasta, po’ boys or salad stop by here.
