I walked into Mayflower Seafood ready for a good meal, but the first thing that hit me was the smell… and not the seafood kind . It had a sewage vibe that immediately made me question my life choices.
The restaurant was quiet, and the food did come out hot, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, it was missing that seasoning kick I was hoping for. Nothing terrible, just very “meh.” On the bright side, the portions were pretty reasonable for the price, so at least my wallet didn’t suffer .
The decor looked a bit old and a little dusty, like it hadn’t been updated since flip phones were a thing . Overall, it wasn’t the worst meal, but it definitely isn’t a place I’d choose to visit again.
Sometimes you try a new spot and walk away with a story instead of a craving .

So we have never had a problem with this restaurant ever but today we ordered some food from here on Uber Eats and the food was burnt also I got the four combination my clam strips were missing we didn’t get the extra tarter sauce we paid for also when we called to speak to the manager she wasn’t even there one of the employees informed me that she would call me later when she arrives never happened so I called back and the manager was so rude then also hang up on me lol HUNG UP ON ME mid sentence wow I mean it’s been like this a lot of places no one is courteous any more so this place has gone way downhill and I would not recommend eating here at all after this it’s so sad

Not here to talk about the food. Wanted to know why you all think it’s ok to ILLEGALLY charge everyone “convenience fees”? This is still considered a surcharge by the way. Surcharges for food? Very shameful

I know it is a seafood restaurant but if yiu are going to have ribeye steak and shrimp on the menu it should taste good. The steak was about a 1/4 inch thick and tasted horrible. I could not eat it. The broiled shrimp had seasoning but really tasteless. The two onion rings were good and the clam chowder was good. Just cannot recommend this restaurant.

I just dont understand why this place is still open. The last time I was here was about 4 years ago and I said then I wasn’t coming back because of the roaches that make themselves present while you are eating. I decided to give it another try today thinking its been a while so maybe its better now. Well I didn’t see and roaches but the food wasn’t good at all. The fried fish was cold, dried out and tasted like it was cooked in old grease, the scallops are definitely some type of imitation meat, the oyster was over cooked and the hushpuppies was cold. When I get to the counter to pay the cashier said “Hi, how was everything today?” I said ” Terrible” he said ” would you like to speak with the manager?” I said ” no, its not need i just won’t be coming back. And this time I mean it.

Waitress was friendly and attentive. The food really could have had some kind of seasoning but portion size was larger. While there staff in the kitchen sounded like there were getting in argument and could here going for tick for tat with someone.

I enjoyed the food, but the popcorn shrimp was slightly saltier for my taste. We got seated at the back and it was a bit warm. Service was solid. Overall, we really enjoyed it!

We eat at the Mayflower about once every two years, mostly out of convenience due to the awesome location. The taste and quality of the food is average at best. The prices are good in comparison to the portion. The coleslaw is cut so fine, the consistency is mush. The customer service is subpar. Our waitress was more so dressed for bedtime. She also forgot our drinks, so we had to remind her. The carrot cake was GREAT! Overall, Mayflower is okay to eat at sometimes, just not a favorite eatery.

Had a great experience here. I also enjoyed a 20% discount for veterans. The waiter was on point and so was the food. Had a mixed platter of 3 types of fish and some sides. I will definitely be back.
