The Pho Thai Express restaurant was founded by husband and wife, Sam and Nok, in 2015. Sam and Nok came to the United States from Thailand more than 40 years ago. They are passionate about Thai cuisine which motivates them to share their Thai food with others in the United States. They lived and owned a successful Thai restaurant in Los Angeles. They traveled to Vermont and fell in love with Green Mountain State, which is why they made the decision to live here and they see Montpelier as a place of opportunity to share authentic Thai food, which is how the Pho Thai Express restaurant was born. You get fresh authentic Thai food every day here at the Pho Thai Express restaurant in Montpelier, Vermont.

Highest quality Thai food around. The Pad Thai sauce was the best I’ve ever had, the shrimp were juicy and delicious, and all ingredients were extremely fresh— right down to the scallions! My order was perfectly ready on time and the staff member who I interacted with was so sweet with a warm smile 🙂 This will be my go-to Thai place hands down.

Pho Thai Express is always delicious. Do not let the modest storefront and seating deter you. Everything is expertly prepared, fresh and full of good flavor. They are my favorite place to get authentic Pad Thai.

Today we had the Pad See Ew – perfect amount of sauce to chewy noodles coated in crispy fried garlic and mixed with generous portions of vegetables and chicken.

The owners are always kind and thoughtful. The boba tea is the best. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

The other options in the area are good, but if Pho Thai Express is open, that’s where I’m going, because it’s the best. The food is excellent, reasonably priced, the portion sizes are great. Definitely stop in if you’re looking in the area, I regularly drive into town just to get takeout from here. Try the Crab Rangoon and Beef Fried Rice!

Good food. I ordered takeout last week – I ordered the orange chicken sweet & sour and 2 Pad Thai w/beef. Heard many good things about this place from friends and coworkers so decided to give it a try for lunch and am pleased to say that they make the best pad Thai in Vermont arguably. Highly recommend it.

The owners are nice and went out of his way to offer me water as I waited.
