we came to sj for a family trip & we decided to try pho for the first time yesterday and it did not disappoint! the food was delicious! we got attended right away & the server was really nice. they had a sign that they were short staffed, but our food came in so quick! i def recommend this place for a pho run ! they also discount you if you pay with cash!

The pho here was delicious bone broth was very flavorful, with a generous amount of meat, and noodles. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful, even made my kiddo a special pho plate free of charge. Highly recommend people to try this place out. We will be returning again when we’re around the area.

Pho & Bun is hands down one of the best spots for Vietnamese comfort food in San Jose. I’ve been here a few times now, and it never disappoints. The pho broth is rich and aromatic you can tell it’s been simmered for hours. I usually go for the rare steak and brisket combo, and it’s always served hot, fresh, and packed with flavor.
Their bun dishes are also a standout! The grilled pork is tender and perfectly seasoned, and the veggies are crisp and fresh. Portions are generous, and everything is plated beautifully.
The service is consistently friendly and quick, and the space is clean and welcoming great for both solo meals or a casual lunch with friends. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and they never skimp on ingredients.

Such a sweet and peaceful atmosphere and Kenny, the owner, is so friendly! We wanted hot tea and he recommended we try his special creation – oolong and pandan tea! It is so good, you must try. He gets the ingredients fresh from Vietnam and dries the leaves himself. The bun bo hue had the perfect balance of flavors. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls was the perfect consistency and flavor regarding the sweetness to vinegar ratio. The pho ga was loaded with juicy chicken. We will definitely be back! Good luck to Kenny in opening his new restaurant in SJ! Also, a huge plus is he doesn’t use any MSG in his food. Everything tasted fresh and nourishing.

The number 6 noodle soup was good. Solid 4/5. Just not enough meat for almost $20.
The spring rolls are not worth it. In my opinion, the mint they add in adds a weird taste. Hardly any noddles in it and mostly just lettuce. They also slice the shrimp, so it’s basically just like one shrimp per roll. So, for $9 not worth it.

Massive portions of delicious food! Super friendly store with fair pricing. The house special pho had an amazing broth, especially if you’re a fan of lighter broths. The ribs were super flavourful and tender. I only wish the beef was a bit more rare, but otherwise amazing! Highly recommended.

Absolutely the best pho in all of my 30 years in the US. From out of town and was absolutely craving for a solid bowl of pho. Blown away!! It’s more authentic then authentic itself. The rib on the side is phenomenal and adds so much more to the amazing pho. It’s a MUST visit! Worth every single penny and would say it’s such a deal. Pho is definitely on the higher price now but this is so worth it!! Went around 12:40pm and it was packed but worth the wait.
Update: It was so good? We came back our last night to have some pho and the family own restaurant was so friendly and provided us extra soup. I had the pho again but without the ribs since I couldn’t finish it all but the broth is so delicious! We also tried the Bun Moc which was also delicious!
