We got there about an hour before closing on a Saturday and they still had plenty of options to choose from. I purchased about 9 pan dulces, a pecan yogurt and a large iced churro latte, coming out to around $28. I grabbed a few items from the case, which was slightly more expensive but it looked absolutely worth it!

I’ve only had the concha and churro latte so far, but they are an absolute 10/10 for me. The concha was the softest I’ve had and the churro latte is spot on! Lots of cinnamon on top and the perfect sweetness for me, although some people might prefer it less sweeter.
The customer service was great, the staff we spoke to were extremely helpful.

10/10 packaging as well! My only personal preference would be having parchment paper or something to put on the sheet pans when getting your breads, other than that, no complaints whatsoever! Will definitely be our new go to spot!!

Pan y Café is such a beautiful addition to the community. It’s so welcoming and thoughtfully designed. The drinks are outstanding, high quality, and made with care. I couldn’t decide between some drinks so I ended up getting 3! It’s clear that so much love goes into every detail. Highly recommend supporting this wonderful café!

This new coffee shop is a must-visit! They have such a great variety of desserts and Mexican pastries, and tons of unique drink options to choose from. I tried the Mexican mocha frappe and it was so good! Rich chocolate with a hint of spice and perfectly blended. Everything felt fresh and authentic. Can’t wait to go back!

The cashier was super friendly, happy and made us feel very welcomed! She answered all of my questions and recommended some of their most popular cakes, which made it so hard to choose because everything looked amazing! The dulce de leche latte was so good and I would definitely order it again! It was so worth the drive, and I’ll for sure be coming back!

I’ve been so excited for Pan y Cafe to open and it did not disappoint! Everything looks and IS so delicious and I can’t wait to see what new seasonal drinks and items they bring. Besides the food, you can tell how much care and thought went into its design! Overall, so so nice and great addition to Newark

This was my first time visiting, and while it wasn’t the best experience, I won’t let that discourage me from coming back to give it another try.
Customer service is an area that could definitely use improvement. When I walked in, no one greeted the customers instead, it felt like we were just being looked at, which made things a bit awkward. I asked about a few items, and when I saw something I didn’t recognize, I asked the employee assisting me, Consuelo, what it was. She responded in a way that felt more like a question back to me, as if I should have already known, which made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. There wasn’t a smile throughout the interaction. I understand it was toward the end of the day, but customer service really makes a difference.
I ordered the Beso de Ángel. Unfortunately, the flan layer was very stiff and seemed overcooked. The cakes displayed in the front looked better than the one I was given. I pointed to one in the front display, but she handed me one from the back. Because of that, I didn’t notice right away that the flan layer was much thinner than the ones shown in front, and the texture looked different as well. When I tried it, the flan was dense rather than creamy, which is how flan should be. However, I did enjoy the cake and frosting. those were very good.
The bread selection wasn’t as large as I expected, though there was still a decent variety available.
Overall, I’m willing to give this place another chance, but I do believe the staff could benefit from additional customer service training and a more welcoming approach.
