It was so nice to find a non-chain restaurant in Richmond! I went to dinner on a Friday so there was a 30 minute wait. The service was friendly. The cocktails were just okay (we tried espresso martini, Love Potion 8, and Mojito). I got steak frites and it was delicious, very tender and cooked just right. It came with truffle fries which were also wonderful. The fried chicken batter had great seasoning , but the meat was a little tough. The brown butter cake and creme brulee were delightful. It gets loud but we didn’t mind. Prices were very reasonable! Like the other reviews mentioned, it’s a mix of casual and upscale atmosphere. My friend and I would come here again!

We went for a family lunch celebrating a big birthday on a Friday afternoon. Joe served us and was incredible. He went above and beyond and we appreciate all that he did to heighten our experience- especially with his recommendations and finding the perfect drink for us.
My personally favourite dish was the brown butter pudding, and the rest of the family really enjoyed the Reuben, and Mac n cheese.
Thank you again for a lovely day! 5* all the way!
(As this was downtown and most street parking was taken, we parked in the opposite side of the road in front of the family courthouse with no issues)

It’s like an upscale restaurant, only better because it’s in a small town. So you still get good service and amazing food, but you don’t have to wear a tux or pay the super inflated prices of fine dining. Went on a Wed night, so it was sparsely populated, but im sure weekends are crowded. We could hear the music, but it wasn’t over powering and it was easy to have a conversation. Food was awesome! Sangria wasn’t as sweet as I’m used to, but there are a ton of other appetizing cocktails yet to try! Filet mignon was wonderful! I asked for med rare and got it. Garlic/parm broccoli was yum! Buttery flavor and really fresh parm. Fries were plentiful and crispy. Wagu burger was fantastic and cooked to order. Chocolate molten cake was terrific. I can’t wait to go back and try some of their appetizers and the new s’mores cocktail!

Millstone Social is such a great addition to Richmond! This spot has an awesome vibe — modern, welcoming, and designed to be a place where people actually want to gather. Whether you’re meeting friends, grabbing a drink after work, or just looking for a fun local hangout, this place delivers.
The atmosphere is fantastic. There’s plenty of seating, great lighting, and a laid-back but lively energy that makes it easy to stay longer than you planned. It’s the kind of place that instantly feels comfortable.
The drink selection is excellent, with lots of creative options, and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. The staff is friendly, attentive, and keeps things moving even when it gets busy. You can tell they care about customer experience.
I also love how clean and well-maintained the space is — definitely one of the nicer social spots in town. It’s perfect for casual nights out, weekend meetups, or just unwinding with friends.

I have been meaning to come here for good bit.
I took my fiance for his birthday and we order dessert!
The creme brulee and the brown butter cake are absolutely delectable.
Joe was our server and he was so easy going and helpful when it came to ordering. He was really knowledgeable about the menu which made it easier on us since we have never been here.
Kiss from a Rose was playing and everybody at the bar were singing along while I was quietly drumming the table. This is definitely an enjoyable atmosphere! We will be adding this to our list of date night options.

We stopped at Millstone Social for dinner while staying in Richmond and really enjoyed our dinner. The food came out hot and fresh from the kitchen and was great. The service was friendly and attentive and they were able to answer our questions and offer suggestions. The atmosphere is casual yet swanky. It’s a little dark but is comfortable. Good vibes!

We caught the end of happy hour on our first visit and were immediately impressed. The atmosphere is the perfect blend of cozy and energetic, making it an ideal compromise between an upscale, sit-down restaurant and a lively sports bar. The food was fantastic, and the value is exceptional, with most entrees priced around $14.
We can’t wait to come back, and have made here our new go-to spot for the NFL season. Highly recommend!

This was a pick a spot night for the wife and I while we were in Richmond from Lexington KY. This spot came up on Google. We went. From the host to the waiter to the Chef. Yes I said Chef cause it definitely wasn’t a cook. Our waitress if not mistaken her name was Melissa and the Chef her name started with an L. The food came out fresh and you could tell that it wasn’t canned food. Bigups to the bartender also she did a awesome job in mixing our cocktails. Our experience was top tier. We really enjoyed everything. Thank you .

Millstone Social absolutely knocked it out of the park hosting our private company Christmas party.
From start to finish, the experience was seamless and genuinely exceptional. The private room was a perfect, cozy touch for the holiday season and made the entire event feel both exclusive and festive—exactly what we were hoping for with a Christmas extravaganza.
The bartender was perfection—professional, attentive, and effortlessly kept everyone happy all night. Truly top-tier service. The entire staff went above and beyond, catering to every need without missing a beat, all while maintaining a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
If you’re looking for a venue that can deliver an elevated private event with outstanding service and holiday charm, Millstone Social is it. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate the season with our team and will absolutely be back.
Highly recommend for private parties and special events.

Found this gem when dropping our daughter off to college. We took her and her boyfriend here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and the food was fantastic! The deviled egg flight and the potato nachos were unique and quite tasty as appetizers. Our crew tried the Waygu burger and the steak sandwich – both were excellent! The environment is fun with tvs set on sports channels and a virtual golf booth you can rent out for extended fun. Despite the lively environment, it was still quiet enough to have good conversation. Our waitress (a bio prof at EKU) was fantastic, keeping the drinks filled and food coming at a good pace – fun to talk with and super sweet. We will definitely be back. We try hard not to eat at chain places in college towns – there are just too many gems like this one that you don’t want to miss.
