This was our first time eating at Bayside Farmstead Café. We ordered the egg salad BLT and the garden salad with bacon crumbles as well as a Matcha Latte and a Mocha. Everything was very tasty, the service was great and we really enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. We are in town for a couple of days and will definitely be back tomorrow for breakfast!

Food was yummy. I ordered the fireside coffee and drank it up quickly. I wish it wasn’t $7 so I could have enjoyed another. I also went with the bean breakfast bowl. I ordered it with a poached egg and bacon. I could barely find the bacon. The dish was a 8/10. I’m just thinking $21 for the dish was pricey. It is majority beans and potatoes. The atmosphere was pleasant only downside is first come first serve on tables. If you aren’t hovering like a hawk other people will get a table before you. I did visit on a Sunday afternoon so it was probably busier than other times.

Such a cute atmosphere and lots of food/unique drink options. If you’re passing through you’ve got to stop here for breakfast/lunch. (They also have incredible dairy free/vegan options if you need it.)

This place is beyond fantastic. I’d give 10 stars if I could. The food was amazing and their menu caters to all dietary preferences without compromising flavour. My boyfriend is highly omnivorous with a high protein intake and I have a severe dairy allergy. Most of the time we have to either eat at different places to get the delicious food experience we want or one of us has great food and the other has to settle. At this cafe, we both are able to get phenomenal food with both our preferences and needs. The coffee is also properly amazing and beautifully served.
The atmosphere is also very quaint and friendly. Some people have noted it’s loud but this is a local cafe in a small building full of life, not some fine dining place where the nearest table to you is 15 feet away and you still feel like you have to whisper.
Items ordered: Pulled pork hash, breakfast burrito, chia pudding, blueberry scone, Fire on the Mountain latte, and Beekeeper latte.

Giving it a four instead of the 5 stars that we would have given it after our second straight day ( friday & saturday ) of excellent top of the line gourmet breakfasts. Unfortunately, on sunday morning, the same type of breakfast was not good. Found out a different cook on that day.
I do recommend this wonderful Bistro and try it for yourself.

I would come back here again and again. The menu has so many great things and what we had (bean bowl and pulled pork with poached eggs) was delicious. The lavender latte is subtle and perfect. Really great vibe, extensive vegan menu and great looking pastries (including gluten free options). Make sure you look at their specials on the boards so you don’t miss something! Looking forward to my next meal.

I’ve probably driven past this place a dozen times and not realized what I was missing out on. The food was phenomenal. I got a breakfast burrito with pulled pork and my wife got the bean bowl. The burrito had just the right amount of spice that it didn’t overpower the other outstanding flavors. You can expect a typical cafe style restaurant, order at the counter and seat yourself, food is brought out to you once the culinary experts finish putting the final touches on it. The atmosphere however is anything but typical. There was a gentleman softly playing guitar in the corner, artwork displayed on the craftsman/bungalow styled walls, and the soft clatter of the espresso bar. 10/10 would recommend!

While many recommend Eureka, I’d steer people toward Arcata and its amazing coffee houses like this one. The wait was a little insane—over an hour for food and almost as long for drinks—but given how packed it was, the quality made up for it. The drinks were outstanding: I had a spicy mocha, and my boyfriend got the honey latte. Both had so much flavor, unique ingredients, and an absolutely adorable presentation.
The ginger cookie was perfection, packed with real ginger rather than just sugary sweetness—a rare find.
As for the food, I loved the mochi waffle; its slightly chewy texture was a welcome twist, and the creamy topping was excellent. The Vietnamese bánh mì was flavorful, with tender meat and a tangy vinaigrette on the salad. The miso egg, however, was just okay—its flavor too subtle to stand out, and I’d expected it fried for the sandwich, but it was boiled instead.
Beautiful scenery, great coffee, and unique flavors make this a spot worth the wait, even with the delays.

The food was fantastic. The savory waffles are something everyone should try. 10 out of 10 would reorder. Give this place some love and they will give it back to you in yummy food.

Truly feels like farm to table plates and ingredients. Many great options for carnivorous and vegan folks. The presentation matches the yummy taste. The atmosphere is simple and a bit loud at times. But it’s a “cafe” so it works just fine.
