Yesterday, My friend and I had packaged sealed sandwiches (egg and also tuna salad) by ‘Wolfgang Puck’. Both priced at $12.
The biggest issue, they were were DRY! The bread was dry and the filling did not have much mayonaise. What a horrible food option! Even after adding extra mayo it did not help.
In a food heaven that Los Angeles is, serving guests horrible and expensive tuna or egg sandwich is shameful.

I took a group of about 20 seniors on a trip to this cafe. Prior to the trip I called and spoke with the cafe manager, Carl.
He was very kind and answered my questions about ADA accessibility and the menu.
Day of, our group arrived. Had a wonderful selection of pre made sandwiches, a delightful salad bar full of fresh veggies, as well as a hot bar with a very tasty shepards pie and a surprisingly delicious Mac n Cheese and I’m black, so that’s REALLY sayin’ somethin! (We know our Mac’n’cheese 🙂
The entire staff there was so kind to us that I wanted to come back and leave a nice tip, as I only brought my company card and had no cash, but wasn’t able to due to our activities that day.
So I am leaving this review to say a big THANK YOU to Carl and staff for making our trip a delicious success and accommodating our community!!

A male cashier was rude. When I brought a bottle of water to pay, he was keep talking with his colleague and ignoring us. When I asked for the receipt, he shortly whispered something with his own language which I can’t understand and it was creepy.

I did not really feel like I wanted to eat there – too expensive. If it had a bar in a higher end atmosphere, it would be much better. The observatory could become the ultimate roof top bar, also attracting a crowd that does not usually has much contact with science, but as it is now it’s pretty lame.

This isn’t a café, there is no menu or warmly-made food. This is just a grab-and-go snack area thats overpriced, most of the coolers that were supposed to have food were empty, and to top it off: they were kicking people out the outside seating balcony by 6pm, way before any meaningful sunset or view could happen. What a bummer.

Fairly good restaurant, I don’t know anywhere else where you can eat while seeing the Hollywood Sign, it’s really the only place you can really eat over here as it’s all the way up in the mountains. I had the gnocchi & the macaroni & cheese, & both were actually really good. Good selection of food, but if you are a picky eater, this is not the place as other than what I got, they had grilled chicken, hot dogs, salad, & the rest was prepackaged food (sandwiches, uncrustables, e.t.c). The prices are not too bad if you consider the fact that there are no other restaurants nearby, although the amount of food you get for the price is not great ($12 for basically 2 different pastas, & not big portions either), but I split the food, & it filled me up for the next few hours, & I had soda, which the soda machines were working well with no problems, & they even had free water cups if you need.

Beware that pickpockets work in organized groups to rob unsuspecting tourists of their belongings here. My wife had her wallet plucked from her purse in the cafe and the thieves racked up thousands in charges within an hour before we were able to freeze all our accounts. The park rangers/security were very helpful but limited in what they could realistically do. Luckily our credit card companies are not charging us for the fraud and the cameras caught it all. We’re currently working with the police to ID them.
Reviewing the footage, the group of two men and one woman were very deliberate in their spotting of our baby stroller, and worked as an organized crew to keep an eye out as the lead fat jerk reached into my wife’s purse. The next table saw it all happen and didn’t bother to say anything to us.
The observatory and LAPD need to realize that these venues are hotbeds for organized crime and that real security and rnforcement is necessary. Until then, keep your belongings close and be sure to bring your own means of self defense.

Food was very overpriced, not a ton of selection. Quality was ok-we had turkey chili and mac and cheese-both were okay but not great. The prepackaged salad was great, and the service was great.

Do not eat Here. Do not plan to eat here.if you must eat here, be careful and pick something simple and Small. These plates were about $18 each. Very average food for astronomical (pun intended) prices.
