Went to this UTA university close Desi restaurant. We were planning on snacking this evening. Started with Pani Puri—OMG. Absolutely the Worst Pani puri We ever had. Save your $7 Dollars which is the cost for this Pani-Puri. Don’t recommend it at all. Beside that we had Vegetable Samosa, Chicken Patties and Iranian tea. Would recommend veg samosa & the Tea. Great for tea snacks lover. Place gets busy due to students. Prices of items are expensive.

Prices on the menu: Justified!

Taste: Spot on!

Quantity: Appropriate. Not too much not too less.

I tried the following items: Chicken Samosa, Chili chicken frankie, Boneless Chicken Biryani, Masala Chai.

Chicken samosa was good enough, the size felt too small compared to the regular veg samosa and there’s only a 10 cents difference so next time I’d rather have regular instead. For Reference check In the image there are 2 samosas.

Chilli Chicken Frankie was AMAZING! It had a good spice and is a good snacking option if you’re not too hungry and want to have something tasty. For Reference check in the image the Frankie was cut in half and I took a bite.

Boneless Chicken Biryani was also really good for the taste if we compare to the immediate direct rival which is Spicy Bites. The chicken felt exactly the same as some Koliwada places in Mumbai. I personally felt the chicken to rice ratio was a bit off. Less chicken more rice. If we compare it to the best options in Irving,TX like Bawarchi/Hyderabad house, it will fall short for sure.

Masala Chai was alright, I just felt it had less milk compared to the ones I am used to.

Service is really good. The owner has a charm and is welcoming.

The store has the potential to become the go to place not just for UTA students as the plaza holds Interesting halal options like NY Eats, Beirut Rock Cafe.

I ordered tea here and they didn’t even provide a sleeve or stopper. The tea was extremely hot and ended up burning my hand. It’s really disappointing that they don’t meet even the most basic safety standards. The place itself isn’t clean, the food is overly oily, and the restroom was in terrible condition. Overall, this was a very bad experience — I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Horrible experience. They served us an excessively salty chicken biriyani. It’s hard to believe that a restaurant can sell something so bad as this! It’s unethical. Don’t go there.

I just visited Desi Adda Kafe, and I must say, my experience was exceptional, even at a late hour. Despite arriving close to closing time, the staff welcomed me warmly, which was a pleasant surprise. Their hospitality truly stood out and made me feel valued as a customer.

While the vegetarian options were limited, they were more than sufficient to satisfy my cravings. The menu looked impressive, and I noticed they even offer a student meal, which I didn’t get to try but found to be a thoughtful addition. I decided to order the paneer biryani, and I was not disappointed. The dish took about 10-15 minutes to prepare, which I believe is a reasonable waiting time, especially given the quality of the food. The paneer biryani was delicious, perfectly spiced, and cooked to perfection.

One of the highlights of Desi Adda Kafe is its ambiance. Though the place was relatively quiet, it had a unique vibe that I really enjoyed. The cleanliness of the restaurant was impeccable, which is something I greatly appreciate in a dining establishment. The bright lighting added to the pleasant dining experience, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal.

Parking was just okay, not too impressive but manageable. Overall, I found the prices to be reasonable considering the quality of food and service. Desi Adda Kafe is definitely a place I would recommend, especially for late-night cravings. The combination of good food, welcoming staff, and a clean, vibrant environment makes it a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy some authentic Indian cuisine.

Usuallay I love biryani but this was my first time I was trying here and I had worst experience of my life . They are new so had zero customer service they didn’t know how to deal customer , took so long for order then the biryani they gave me was not properly cooked . When I showed the owner the rice that they are uncooked and feel like It hard like ice he said it fine take it and eat it . I ate may be 4 bites but I have stomachache now. Plz save money and go somewhere else

Strip center very trashy. Cigarette butts all over the place. Gross. Inside, just cluttered with freezers, refrigerators, office equipment. Tables wobbly. Interior had zero atmosphere. Food was just mediocre. The naan was just pita bread. Served in cheap paper plates and paper bowl. So disappointed. Waste of money. Indian food is all around so I would go to other places. The chai was the highlight.
