This place has the most freaking amazing deep dish pizza I’ve ever eaten in my life. It has the perfect meld of flavors. In my unrelenting quest to find the most exquisite pizza ever created, I discovered Papa’s Pizza in Montague, MI. Arriving at this pizzeria felt like coming home with timeless décor, family games, and an ever-present charm.
We ordered a smorgasbord of delectable treats. Starting with the Papa Whoppa, a sub with all the meats, it was especially wonderful thanks to their unique sauce, and the sandwich was perfectly toasted. The Super Pizza arrived next thanks to Papa Pizza’s unparalleled service. This pizza was beyond fantastic. The soft, thinner crust was wonderful, but the sauce with all toppings was the icing on this extra tasty pie.
Waiting only a short time later, the Deluxe Cheese Deep Dish was delivered to our table. This pie was simply incredible. The star of the show was the molten cheese coupled with the tasty spices on top. Last but certainly not least, we had the Italian Bread, which when paired with their pizza sauce, was absolutely fantastic.
Our experience was marvelous thanks to the entire Papa Pizza Crew.

We just left and i ran to give a review! The people running it amazing, the food amazing! Id advise ordering ahead if you get deep dish pizza (do it!) and definitely eat in! Oh and try the lettuce sauce.

On 01/23/2026, I ordered 4 orders of bone-in wings take-out. I requested all four orders with sauce. After pick-up I looked at all 4 orders at my residence. Three orders had sauce, one order was without sauce. Do better Papas.

Very friendly staff. Awesome customer service! The pizza is absolutely fabulous. Tried the chicken, bacon ranch Sicilian style. Also tried the wet burrito. The food was top notch!

Thanks for being so accommodating as we arrived in town kind of late, but we got the last pizza of the day. A delicious deep dish and some bread, and made fast! Thanks for making our food even though you barely had time before close. Great service! 10/10 highly recommend

This was our first time here and it was October 22nd. It was decorated yet had a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and unlike most Pizza places the pizza was not greasy. It was also freshly made. I would definitely recommend. We got 2 Pizzas, a cheese and a pepperoni.

Our first experience with Papa’s was before the pandemic and it was exceptional! We returned in late May of this year, happy to see it open. The pizza that time was the Chicago deep dish. It was ok but the toppings were minimal, except for cheese. There was plenty of that, probably enough for at least 2 pizzas. The sauce and other toppings were hard to find.
This time, we tried the Sicilian. Same issue only with MORE cheese! What little sauce was on the pizza was good, just not enough and again, meat & veges weren’t easy to find.
I really hate that our favorite pizza place has gone this route. Maybe they’re still trying to make it their own, but save on the cheese and put more sauce and veges on there, please!

I ordered a small deep dish with sausage mushrooms pepperoni could not see any toppings on it it had 2 pounds of cheese on it it was was lousy i threw it away

I have been coming here for my whole life. I love the pizza, but the italian bread is what we always get and it is like a childhood memory for me. And Papa’s never misses. I highly recommend!
