Love love love this place! This was my second time coming here. The service remains top tear. The servers go out of their way to make your experience personable and relaxed. This time They let me host my bday party on the top floor. The service and food was great like always. I’d say it’s reasonable priced. The vibe is very lounge like, child appropriate as well. They had karaoke and great music to dance to this time. I had so much fun. Will definitely be going back for drinks and a good time regularly.

My friends and I had an amazing time here.. They really cater to you all the drinks come in their own special unique type of glass. The nachos were OK. The shredded chicken was better than the grounded beef… and the mango ceviche was incredible. We did karaoke and had a great time. All the waiters in there are so friendly and full of life… the location and design of that place is absolutely amazing. Will definitely come back come back. Didn’t realize till we left that the karaoke speaker is also playing outside, so be sure to sing your heart out…

I had the pleasure of being served by Noemy twice now, and I just have to say she is absolutely wonderful. She is not only beautiful but incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. From the moment she greets you, she makes you feel taken care of and comfortable.
Both times I’ve visited, Noemy went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She checked on us at just the right moments, made great recommendations, and always had the sweetest attitude. You can tell she truly cares about giving guests a great experience.
It’s rare to find someone who brings that level of warmth and professionalism to their job. She truly made our visits special, and I will always look forward to coming back and seeing her again.

My coworker and I stopped in last night for dinner and a couple of drinks. Let me start out by saying I rarely feel compelled to write a review… but we both had such a great time last night thanks to the 2 bartenders working. Jennifer and Jorge not only made me the best cocktails I’ve ever had, but they were fun and worked together seamlessly. My coworker and I had to force ourselves to leave but we wanted to hang out forever. As long as Jennifer and Jorge are working there, we will be back as much as possible. Cantina 1948 is lucky to have them!

First let me start with we have been going to the cantina over a year now . Since we moved to Belton. The Bartenders where always absolutely amazing so welcoming carried conversations and made amazing drinks even had there own tequila old fashioned they came up with. Staff was all so friendly and welcoming. Never a dull experience celebrated many celebrations with y’all. As of recently unfortunately our few visits have not been the same unfortunately all new bartenders not very sociable looking at their phones for recipes to make the drinks . Or just looking uncomfortable and uptight . Such a great place to eat and beautiful bar I’d hate for things to continue this way we really enjoy this place for our date nights . We hope things can go back to a couple months ago and bring back the welcoming up beat social interaction environment.

My husband and I happened upon this delightful cantina quite by chance. The staff were courteous and friendly, while the ambience was cozy, clean, and comfortable. We felt welcome to explore the variety of truly Mexican dishes from several villages famously known for certain cooking styles and flavors. The owner shared personal experiences from traveling through and growing up in Mexico that added distinctive color to our first tastes of Cantina 1948’s extensive fare. We left vowing to return and to share our experience with friends and family. Delightful!

We visited to celebrate our 25th anniversary and this place did not disappoint. We had the chips and guacamole as an appetizer. For dinner I had the taco plate with beef and my husband had the nachos with beef. All of the food was delicious! We also tried the Aku Aku, La Kika Margarita, and the Beauty and Beast cocktails. They were all SO good. Every staff member we encountered, especially our waiter (Anthony??) were great. Would recommend over and over again!

What a beautiful little restaurant I’m so glad that I stopped by and had music playing on the speaker outside as you walked up when you walked in. It was a nice clean, comfortable atmosphere. The staff was attentive. The food was delicious. One of the best places I’ve visited in a long time.-The drinks were delicious and very good. The only thing I found off was that they charged a gratuity for the bar and I didn’t notice that the menu.

This is really not your average Mexican restaurant, and there is really not much to choose from on the menu. But I have to say the food was actually pretty good. The drinks were unique, the atmosphere wasn’t bad and the waitress was pretty awesome. I would say for lunch or just to have drinks this is the perfect spot
