I’ve eaten at this location several times before. Never had a complaint until now. The food was really good.
However, their portion size has changed. I ordered my wife and I the Hawaiian BBQ Mix plate. Under our food we were both given 1/2 pound of cooked cabbage. Really disappointed.

Absolutely delicious Hawaiian plate and one of the best katsu combos I’ve had in a long time. I usually go to L&L Hawaiian BBQ, but this place is easily on par if not better.
I ordered Plate #44, which comes with crispy katsu chicken, BBQ chicken, rice, mac salad, broccoli, and lettuce, and everything was outstanding. The katsu chicken was perfectly cooked, super crunchy on the outside while still juicy and tender on the inside. The BBQ chicken was flavorful and well seasoned and paired perfectly with the rice and veggies.
I also love that they have both katsu sauce and teriyaki sauce you can fill on the side, so you can dip and mix however you like. The mac salad was creamy and comforting, the portions were generous, and the price is very reasonable for what you get.
The dining area is clean and comfortable too, with both booth and table seating available.
Great food, great textures, great flavors. Definitely a 5 star plate and a spot I’d happily come back to. Highly recommend!

Excellent customer service. Clean atmosphere and great portions. I really appreciated my takeout meal here, you will definitely need the teriakyi (or katsu sauce) tho so don’t forget to grab that on the side. Food was clean and healthy, and the cabbage wasn’t limp or wilted. Would be happy to return.

1st time here & was a bit disappointed. It appears we were served old pieces of chicken. The breading was so hard & I had to toss it. You can tell the difference from the picture, the pieces were not fresh. Not sure we’ll return. The other order tasted like it was reheated.

The Ono Hawaiian BBQ at Florin Road is in a busy shopping center. Parking is a little hard to find some time. The food is as good as the other Ono Hawaiian BBQs in town. The dining room looks good inside. But the parking lot has some homeless people there, which worries me a little!

The food is fresh and cooked to order. I had the spicy fish aloha plate that was on special for $7. They gave a generous portion of fish, rice, and salad. The inside of the restaurant is clean and modern. I’m excited that there is a healthier food option in this area that is reasonably priced and tasty.
Taking off one star because I had to wait 20 minutes for my meal, which was longer than I had anticipated and many folks who came after me were served before me. In the future it would be nice to know if there is a longer wait time especially since a lot of people are likely visiting on their lunch break 🙂

We’ve been meaning to frequent this place since it was built. Finally made our way in and YUM! Cannot wait to try more items. So juicy and flavorful! There is so much to choose from, and I’ll be back soon.

The food is good, with all the Hawaiian barbecue standards. I loved that it came with a good sized salad! The price is decent as well. I’ve noticed this chain opening restaurants all over the area recently, and now that I’ve had their food once, I’ll probably go again!
