Today, I had the delightful opportunity to visit Pop Pot & Tea in Chandler, AZ, thanks to the lovely invitation from Miss Taiwan. This was my first experience at this charming restaurant, and I was genuinely excited to dive into their hot pot offerings.

I decided to try the clam hot pot, and I was thoroughly impressed. The pot was brimming with fresh clams and a variety of delicious ingredients that made each bite a joy. The broth was exceptionally refreshing and flavorful, providing a perfect balance that enhanced the overall experience. The clam soup, in particular, was a highlight, leaving me feeling revitalized and satisfied.

What made this day even more special was sharing this wonderful meal with a beautiful companion who graciously treated me to lunch. The atmosphere at Pop Pot & Tea was warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for enjoying good food and great company.

I am truly grateful for this experience and look forward to returning to explore more of their menu. The combination of authentic Taiwanese flavors, friendly service, and a cozy environment makes Pop Pot & Tea a standout choice for anyone craving hot pot. I highly recommend visiting this gem for a delightful culinary adventure!

I’ve been here a couple of times with my hubby before and we decided to bring our family along this time and they absolutely loved it! We ordered the Taiwanese Spicy, Tomato Soup, and Tom Yum Soup Pots, plus the Pork Chop, Popcorn Chicken, and Braised Pork Rice Plates. Every dish was packed with flavor and tasted just like some of the food we enjoyed in Taiwan. The boba drinks were spot on as well especially the tea-based ones. We’ll be back again.

I love Taiwanese street food! I know this restaurant has been around for a while, but what weighted heavily on me and stopped me from going sooner is that I had to overcome the smell of stinky tofu.

Also, it was still 100 degrees when I visited, so I didn’t order hotpot. My friend and I ended up ordering 3 small dishes and got to try a variety of fried dishes. After the meal, we both agreed that they should give more vegetables options to balance out the “yeet hay”. Thankfully, the winter melon tea (1000% recommended!) cooled us down along the meal, and I didn’t get a sore in my mouth after the meal.

If you’re like me, I would recommend showing up before the dinner rush (5ish), so less people are there and lower the chances of stinky tofu ordering (lol!). I look forward to winter when it’s cold enough to try out their hotpot menu!

This hot pot restaurant has become one of my local favorites due to its authenticity and friendly service. If you love hot pot, you must try this place! They offer a wide variety of options, from Taiwanese Spicy Hot Pot to Korean-style hot pot, and one of my favorites is the Seafood Tofu Hot Pot. Their broth is delicious, featuring a unique flavor profile that complements each style of hot pot. Additionally, the quality of the meat and vegetables that come with the hot pot is fresh and excellent. The restaurant’s atmosphere is perfect for family gatherings, as each person can order their own hot pot style to suit their preferences. I will definitely return with friends and family to explore all the flavors of hot pot they have to offer.

Fantastic restaurant with true Taiwanese taste. The price for each pot and dish is not cheap but it is definitely a great restaurant to enjoy meals. The staff is friendly and tables are clean. They also keeps hygiene of the restroom very well. It is a comfortable place to visit. However, one of their staff does not know how to upgrade drinks which comes with the meal but only asks you to purchase another drink. More employee training is necessary.

This Hot Pot restaurants are typically providing a variety of Asia-based hot pot favors. Expect the hot pot we ordinary familiar with, they also served in Taiwanese traditional snack and milk/boba tea. This restaurant has pretty cleanliness environment, tradition ingredients and authentic flavors.

All I got was two drinks, but those two drinks were really really good! If you’re thinking about Boba Tea House down the road, I totally recommend you to go here instead.

I got a winter melon tea with boba, and my sister got a green tea. They were the perfect level of sweetness (which is not very much), and the boba was chewy and delicious. Drink pricing was a little cheaper than usual as well, 3.99 for the green tea and 5.99 for the winter melon.

The place itself was also very cute, I absolutely love the logo and set up. The food looked really good, and the man at the front was friendly and fast. I’m definitely coming here again!!

Edit: Came again, adding photos of the inside setup, it’s very well done. The boba tea this time was delicious as well.

Was originally excited to hear that a new Tawianese hotpot place was open.
Went there for lunch.
It was a slow day with only 2 tables, but the server seemed to want to rush the orders & usher us out for no reason.

Little did we know that all 3 of us would end up with bad stomach aches & diarrhea for the rest of the day.
It can’t be a coincidence that all 3 of us got sick as we all got different items.
Won’t be going back; I never got this sick going to the other hot pot places in town.

We ordered: 1x Cilantro & Preserved Egg Pot, 1x Seasame Oil Chicken Pot, 1x Taiwanese Spicy Pot.
It smelled great when they came out with a fire can heating it.

This place was my introduction to hot pot and it did not disappoint!! I love love love the Taiwanese spicy pot. I recently brought my mom over and she tried the Korean-style pot and LOVED it! You can choose your spice levels for any pot. The workers are always kind. I highly recommend this place!

I wish I could give it more stars, however, this was my one time experience at this restaurant and probably the last one. It was also my first time trying Taiwanese food. I wanted to try something new and I looked on the map and noticed this restaurant close by. I went inside and it was full, which is great for business, but there was no one there to guide patrons. I felt a little intimidated as I did not know what to do, so I decided to go to the register and grab a menu. No one said anything to me and at one point I felt a little lost, wondering if I was doing it right as the people working there were passing by me in a rush carrying food and I honestly felt like being in their way multiple times. At the register no one was saying anything to me either, they were all too busy and made no eye contact. So after I took a look at the menu, being a little confused of what to order, I decided on their House Special Pot. I had to wait till I saw the cashier have a second before I was telling about me wanting to order. I was told it would take 15-20 minutes. I came back after 30 minutes thinking I was late and my order was not ready. It literally took about 40 minutes in total to get my food. The bag was too small and the guy handing it to me was nice and put the rice and sauces in a second small bag and on top of that offered me a tea because I had to wait too long. That was the nicest thing happening at this restaurant. The food was ok, nothing to complain nor something I would crave.
Some suggestions I could give to this new restaurant would be: have some signs for people that get inside about how to proceed ( wait to be seated or take a seat , or proceed to the register for to-go orders , even better – have a host by the entrance ). Second – have the employees at least acknowledge the people especially when they are waiting. A little more organization is definitely needed. I hope my review helped a little, if you are in a rush then consider another place. Also, I think the prices are a little too high for what you get.
