We sat at the corner of the bar and were greeted by a super upbeat, bubbly bartender who clearly knew her stuff. Watching her whip up some pretty intricate drinks was impressive. Whoever created that cocktail menu and groomed her really put in the work.
I tried a whiskey sour (instead of the town-favorite old fashioned) just to see what they could do — a bit on the sweeter side for my taste, but still solid.
We shared a cheese board and calamari. The cheese board was decent, but could’ve been standout with a few dried fruits or meats added. The calamari looked great but could’ve used a touch more golden crisp.
For my entrée, I had the baharat-braised short ribs with parsnip and potato mash and broccolini. The flavors were good but didn’t quite hit the boldness I expect from baharat spice. Initially I wanted the falafel pita, with keftedes subbed in, but didn’t want disrupt the chefs menu by altering it to my liking.
We wrapped up with a pumpkin tiramisu that was soft, delicate, and just the right amount of pumpkin — not overdone at all.
Overall, I’m a picky eater and hard to impress, but I think Trevina has the potential to be that place. Once they smooth out the kinks, this spot could easily become a hallmark in the area.
We had an incredible dining experience at Trevina tonight! The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the food was nothing short of spectacular. Our evening was made even better by our wonderful server, Wilbur, a delightful college student who truly went above and beyond.
Wilbur was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. He was engaging and had a great energy overall. His recommendations were perfect, and he made sure we had everything we needed with a genuine smile.
The fried zucchini just hit the spot, and my husband’s dish of salmon, potatoes, and carrots was fantastic. But the burger for me was the show-stopper. I’m always on the lookout for a great go-to burger, and I think I’ve found it! I always joke with my husband about trying to remember our experience and if we liked what we ordered by adding it to my (non-existent) or at least in my memory, a food journal. (lol) There will be no forgetting this at all. Best burger I’ve had in a long time. This is my new favorite go-to place now.
We also want to give a shout-out to the manager on duty, who took the time to talk with us. Their honest and inviting demeanor added a special touch to our evening. We did get the chocolate dream cake (in my opinion closest thing to a brownie on the menu lol), and it very much exceeded expectations too! (hint hint wink wink, put a great brownie on the menu 😉 lol)
Oh! I forgot to add the water glasses were just so adorable! The texture was just so different and refreshing.
If you’re looking for a place with great food and to meet our very own Wilbur, head to Trevina. Save us a seat though because we can’t wait to return!
My daughter was equally impressed, her perfectly crisp calamari with bold black aioli was a standout, followed by a decadent prosciutto panini layered with earthy truffles and nutty Parmigiano. My wife’s dish was a showstopper: beautifully seared scallops with a golden crust, served alongside vibrant broccolini and fluffy, herb-infused couscous.
The DIY beer taps offered a stellar selection, and my wife’s handcrafted cocktail was refreshingly complex and expertly balanced.
Now, the only reason I gave 4 stars for atmosphere is this: while the restaurant itself has a light, airy, and inviting vibe, the all-black ensembles worn by the waitresses felt a bit out of sync with that ambiance. I understand it’s a common choice in upscale dining, but here, it slightly detracted from the overall aesthetic. That said, our waitress was absolutely amazing, warm, attentive, and incredibly personable. I genuinely hope we get her again next time.
This place has officially earned a spot as our new favorite restaurant. The vibe, the creativity, the flavors, it’s all there. Bravo to the team behind the revival.
