Just stopped by The Country Maid under its new ownership, and wow, they’re already nailing it! From the warm greeting to the incredible food, everything about my experience was top-notch. The cheesesteak? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had—juicy, flavorful, and packed with perfection. The fries were crispy and golden, the perfect complement. You can tell the new owners are putting real effort into making this place stand out, and it’s paying off. If you’re in the area and craving great food with even better vibes, don’t miss this spot. And guess what? It’s all halal! Highly recommend!

The two ladies on duty was very explanatory to me as a new customer. I must say I had read the reviews before I came and they didn’t lie. The customer service to the food was excellent. Got the Thurs special club on a roll for $8 ( healthy sandwich) and some Jalapeño poppers.

Awesome spot for a quick and delicious breakfast! They recently changed owners, and the new menu with beef bacon breakfast sandwiches is a great addition. Every time I stop in, the service is friendly and fast. Definitely one of my go-to places — I’ll be back for sure!

They did renovation and the place looks great. The older lady with the white hair is still there. The breakfast sandwich was good but not pork. They don’t serve pork. The only problem I had was not being told that they don’t serve pork. But I must admit that Turkey Bacon was scrumptious.

This is the BEST place for sandwiches. Highley recommend this is one of those places with only 4 or 5 perpetual employees and somehow they never age. The sandwiches are so good and there’s a great selection of snacks + drinks and even ice cream if you’re freaky.

I absolutely LOVE Country Maid’s hoagies. I’ve been ordering at least once or twice a month since returning to the Newark area. They have a certain perfection for blend of flavors and never overdo it when asking for oil and vinegar (thus, no soggy bread!). Just wish it was in a better location.

Me and my wife ordered Italian hoagies and they were absolutely delicious. The man was really nice. Probably the best hoagie I’ve had and I’d put it over jersey mikes which I love too.

All I can say is please don’t eat from here!! I had a turkey ham hoagie and it made me sick & when I say sick I’m not pretending or making this up. I honestly was down for two days after eating from here, didn’t know which end anything was going to come out of & that’s as far as I’ll go with the results of eating from here. The meat HAD to be bad or old. This was the ONLY thing I ate that day outside of the normal things I eat, all I could say was this is why I rather cook than to eat out. I literally had to call off of work because I didn’t know which ends things were coming out, this was a horrible experience. I believe it says they open at 9 I ordered my food a little after 11 so it raises many questions to me.. Was the meat out since the time they opened up? Was the meat out from the night before? Was the meat out for weeks? I mean it’s so many questions… I can speak on the service and how I was the only person in the store and it took 10 minutes to actually take my order 5 of those minutes were actually being acknowledged ♀️ then to actually pay it took another 3,4 minutes for the guy to figure out what type of hoagie I had and another 4 minutes to find it on the register to ring me up ♀️ overall JUST DONT EAT FROM HERE
