Amazing homemade Korean food with great hospitality. We got the fried chicken and Korean army stew. Fried chicken was very crispy, not hard at all, amazing sauce!! The side dish of cucumber kimchi is the best I’ve ever had; it’s light, not as spicy and very flavorful. Highly recommended!

Delicious:
Had the bulgogi served with a hearty portion of meat, sauce, and rice – delicious.
The popcorn chicken and sauce was a great texture and flavor.
The cabbage kimchi had a great heat and fermented crunch.
And the cucumber kimchi was very flavorful.

This was my 1st time experiencing Kimchi as a food. I am visiting from out of town and was desperately seeking food and unfamiliar with the area. I googled and found this place and read the excellent reviews. I also googled to see what Kimchi was . This spot is a little piece of Heaven on earth…. I did get lost trying to find it because the road behind the place isn’t marked. When I finally arrived I was greeted by a very sweet woman who was kind enough to take my order even though it was 10mins before closing. I had the Kimchi rice and pot stickers, it was AMAZING. I don’t do well with heat, but it wasn’t too spicy (have some water close by tho lol). I will most definitely spread the word about this place… it was worth the coins! Make sure you check the hours… they were closed yesterday . Going back TONIGHT and adding Kimchi to my list of new things to eat!

This is definitely a gem find in AK. We loved the food. We ordered korean fried chicken and beef bulgogi and they both hit a craving we never knew we had. Thank you for the great food!

2024: I was delighted when this place opened up so close to base. I only wish the hours were a little earlier so we could get food right after work or during lunch. We ordered the bulgogi and kimchi stew. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. And portion sizes were enough we had leftovers for lunch the next day. The owner is such a kind and friendly person. I’ll look forward to coming again!
2026 update: The owner has changed her hours to open at 17:00 now, but I think it’s better to call in your order a little after to give her time. She comes straight here from her other job. Expect roughly 30min for her to prepare food, but it depends on how many orders she’s got. We’ve been able to try everything from the menu now, and can’t say there’s a single bad option. The kimchi pancakes are a top favorite though. The kindness of the owner and the quality of her food have never faltered. This continues to be some of the best food you can find anywhere, even outside Alaska.
