Jay’s has been through a lot as a neighborhood bar, but their food is authentic and delicious. I’m a pescatarian and my partner eats meat. Jays has great veggie options (Veggie Gyoza, Jalapeño Poppers & Potato Japanese Croquettes). They also have great substitutes to their meat patty burger (veggie with cheese). The food is underrated and so so good! Highly recommend their ramen! The spicy veggie ramen is my all time fav (w/spinach noodles). They have awesome craft beers, national liquors & 2 TV’s for sports playoffs / movie nights. Support an awesome local bar!!!

Radio type of music was played just a tad too loud. Water cups smelled like fish tank. Not to many vegetarians options and the bar tender def didn’t know how to make a tequila sour. Wish they could have just been thoughtful

Place is super cool, male bartender with glasses has a very trash attitude, and have no idea about the food because I didn’t order any after the rude response from the male bartender with glasses.
I recommend the bars across the street known as the Drugstore Cowboy or Akbar as a nice place to have a beer or cocktail. If you’re wanting to have a nice beer from tap, another option is Frogtown Brewery.

Really good drinks here, esp the green matcha cocktail is totally bomb. Chill vibes. Food is ok; though I appreciate that there are other Japanese inspired options like ramen instead of the usual bar food like burger and fries.

Very friendly atmosphere, the bartender was so friendly and a vibe! Everyone’s very social, not a lot of people on a Thursday night. Seats indoors and outside. Drinks are good, ordered the bon voyage and lucky. Lucky was good, bon voyage was strong ! Ordered coke to help drink old fashion. Not a big drinker

Loved Jay’s Bar! The cocktails are amazing and the vibe is really cool and laid back.. Constantine was super friendly and helpful in suggesting the right cocktail for us.. We didn’t have food but it looked great as well. Cannot miss this spot!

Excellent local bar. Happy hour food and drinks are amazing. 3 dollar burgers all tuesday are great. Highly recommended. Good place to gather to catch up with friends or watch sports. Dark and cozy candlelit interior with warm ambience.

I had heard about Jay’s bar for a while, but had unfortunately never visited until last night. I visited with a group of 7 friends. The ambiance was great. It had a local bar vibe with the bartenders knowing most of the patrons names and drink orders before they even sat down. Our bartender, Constantine, made us feel like we had been going there for years. He recommended several drinks to our group and all of them were delicious. The drinks were strong and perfectly mixed. He even prepared mocktails for several people in the group after they finished drinking for the night.
During our night out our group ordered Tonkotsu ramen, chicken Karaage, steak fries, Japanese croquettes, and the burgers. The food was delicious and the portions were large. We all had a great time and will definitely be back within the next week. This is our new spot for fantastic drinks, food, and fast service. Thank you Constantine and everyone else who attended to our group last night. You guys are the best!!!

The place is clean and friendly, but it has two hidden surprises. The food is fantastic… It is a hidden gem for appetizers and snacks…

My server served me well until I came to pay off my tab. He announced to the whole bar that I didn’t tip. I work hard for my time and money, and this person wants me to tip for the basic things. I asked him why it was necessary to do in front of the store. The food wasn’t that good . Was McDonald’s quality. I would spend less on a mcdouble and fries there..I was trying to experience something new, and this place isn’t it. The drinks are good, but expect to tip or else they are going to call you out. I’m not back. They only treat white people with respect. They don’t care about colored customers with respect. If you aren’t white don’t come here.
