The staff were super friendly and helpful to us newcomers. We stopped for food after our son’s football game, before we made the trip home. The food was delicious! Fresh patted burgers, cooked to order, and so juicy! I did kind of expect the Barbarian Bob burger that my fiance had to be a bit bigger than it was, it was still great. Our son had the grilled ham and cheese… omg! I would have considered it gourmet, not pub food, for sure! I had the mushroom and Swiss, and I’d get it again! We got it to go, and I had a Coke, and my fiance had a beer, while we waited for our food, and the total was $41 and change for everything. Not bad for feeding 3 of us. I wish I would have thought to take photos, but we were tired after the game. Lol

The food is delicious here. I had the sweet and sassy burger. It was so good. Pineapple, bacon and provolone cheese. The Bob is wonderful too. There are lots of choices for sides and all the ones we had at our table were great. Coke products served here.

Great service. Great food at a very good price. Our waitress Emily was superb, extremely nice and very helpful as we asked her about goings on locally. Made my other half some drinks and she loved them. This is a rare time I would give 6 stars if possible.

Food was good. Beers weee warm and was offers cold glasses and mugs. Went with a large group and 2 in the party were not served their food with the rest of us. Had to thaw out more for the fish for their orders.

I lived in Pburg 4 years. Ate at Matt’s 3 times. Worse restaurant experience ever. Food is horrible. Very slow. The only reason I or I should say we. I was with a group of people all 3 times went the 3 times was to see if it would have been different. This was like in a year period. You try and act like apple bee’s. And how come when I read the reviews you have to end with why are they trashing in you online?? Kinda silly if ya ask me. That’s what this platform is for.. I most definitely don’t recommend this place to eat at. There are wonderful restaurants just twenty miles away in cedar falls. And the ones in cedar falls are much cheaper.

The food is always excellent here. The service is great too. Family owned and run. If you are from out of town you will get to experience what real people from Parkersburg are like. Recommend the Barbarian Bob Burger. Parking ia easy and plentiful. Free popcorn while you await your food.
